Help! How do you make fog effects?

Hey Gang I need help on how to make fog in Photoshop.
Here’s the imgae I want to make it for. I want to make a thin wispy fog machine type look.

Fog can be tricky, I would treat it like you would smoke. Get a new layer and lay down all your base, which will be a neutral grey. Then come in with some darker greys and some whites for the highlights. After that, reduce your opacity to about 30 or so and you should get a nice little fog effect.

Nice, yes, but some swirly fog effects is what I’m after. Any tips gang?

I dunno if this would work, but try make a new layer, Filter > Render > Clouds and play with the opacity after that?

you can also play around with layer masks to make some parts of the cloud less or more obvious. (or you could just delete that part of the layer)

Thanks for the tip anyway. It’s cool know SRK has always got my back when it comes to matters of art.

I am pretty stoked about the image how it is, but it’s tough since I can’t get that effect I want.
