Help a playa out? Linking Crouch H, with jump H punch ground bounce

ok. love juri. i really do. but im having the dickens of a problem.

i can only get the jumping heavy punch to connect from the crouching heavy punch 20% of the time. what am i doing wrong? its seriously cramping my style…

I usually do cr.hp then do immediately do a tiger knee motion then hp again.
if you don’t know how to tiger knee it’s Down, Down-Toward, Toward, Up-Toward

Are you talking about cr.HP as an anii-air or as part of a combo?

If you’re trying to do it as part of a combo, such as after MK Senpuusha (I think that’s it, qcb+mk), you’ll have to do it in a corner, and timing is a tad strict, but nothing overly impossible.

As a anti-air, it’s actually pretty simple since cr. HP is jump cancellable. See them jump in at the right angle, cr. HP and during start up, hold up-forward and hit HP just as you come into contact with the enemy. It just takes a little timing and practice to get the visual cues right.

As a pad player what I do is hold down back for anti air or after MK pinwheel then up foward. It helps reduce the chances of neutral jumping HP

A few tips.

1)practice practice practice. If you can’t do something isolate successes and find out why it works and when it worked. Isolate the failures by doing the same. This will help you understand ANY problem you have with execution

  1. when you jump cancel, you cannot hit up or up back at all. I believe the game takes your first up input. I.e. If you hit up and correct to up forward you’ll get up, even though you’re holding up forward.

3)listen to the timing. That’s how I hit this as well as I do. I can hear the hit sounds anytime.
