I know what I’m talking about, I’ve watched Kitchen Nightmares before which shows real life back of the house operations.

Dude it’s a Fox network presentation so you can’t expect anything to be portrayed accurately. It’s a dumb show but I like it because I like cooking and watching people get yelled at. I sincerely doubt many people watch this and assume the actual workplace is like this everywhere either, so let’s all just chill and watch stupid reality TV we know isn’t actually reality.
I think anyone with half a brain would be able to figure out that the show is heavily edited for drama and Ramsay hams it up for the camera. That said, it’s still fun to watch (although the last few seasons have been pretty bad).
I mean shit, I remember one season (the second season Robert, the big fat white guy, was on) that had two glaringly bad edits. Both were two seperate occasions but with the same editing errors. On both occasions a chef or chefs appeared in the shots that had been eliminated in previous episodes. Pretty hilarious mistake on Fox’s part. 
One and I was in charge of garnish, I didn’t have a head chef like Ramsey but I did have jackass teammates similar to what you see in the show.
I think it’s blatently obvious not all kitchen’s run like HELLS Kitchen. If you tried making your point using Kitchen Nightmares, that would have made sense. But Hells Kitchen?? lol.

I missed all of last season, which I should remind myself to watch. But I’ll be watching this season.
And I don’t care if it’s faked up. All I care for is watching Ramsay yell at donkeys.
The show would be a lot more enjoyable without the stupid ass overly dramatic music. Go watch Kitchen Nightmares UK version on BBC America, then go watch the American verison on FOX and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
His overseas shows are a lot more well thought out. Fox just treats everyone like they’re morons… And they are. So props to them anyway.
Kitchen Nightmares UK is Ramsay’s best show by a mile.
Its same all the shows once they come over to the US. Look at Apprentice UK, the show actually focuses on business, whereas the US version it’s all about the board room drama.
LOL I’d hate to know what the US version of Big Brother is like considering how much I hated that show.
US audiences like drama and dramatic music with long pauses before the final decision. No way the UK version of Hell’s Kitchen (first season anyway, all I could find on YouTube) would succeed here.
Unless you throw useless celebrities like Paris, Lindsay, Bieber in as chefs and Ramsay destroys any self-confidence they have. Then we’d watch.
I would watch anything where someone screamed “you stupid cow” all day to Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan :lol:
Ramsay has trolled most of you, lol. Just enjoy the damn show for what it is. And I wouldn’t recommend watching the last season, last season sucked.
In response to this comment I started watching KN UK on Netflix, and I just finished episode 2. WAAAAY better than Hell’s Kitchen.
The UK Kitchen Nightmares is alittle different, while Ramsey is still dead serious and tells the people they should be. He still tries to tell them to have fun and do not be afraid to like your job.
Yeah the UK one has a more serious tone to it which makes it way more interesting.
But in 3 days time we’ll have all the flashy, loud imagery we can handle!

The most tragic part was he left the first time for medical reasons, he vowed to lose weight only to come back fatter and a shitter cook, and leave again on health and incompetence :lol:

And man, they need to choose people in better physical condition.
I used to watch the show before I got into cooking.
The people they take on are so garbage it insults me as a chef. They select 16 out of hundreds maybe thousands that apply to be on the show and every season follows a similar criteria. Half of them are utterly useless people, they may even be actors. Out of the next 8 4 of them are screw ups and are obviously not gonna win.
So its only really down to 4 people, 1 of which obviously has no chance, 1 guaranteed to be in the finals and a coin flip on the other 2. It pisses me off because these people should be much more talented than they are for how long they say they’ve been cooking.
Its pretty awesome watching Ramsay shit on them though.
