I enjoy the fact that I waited 11 weeks for a stick , and less than 3 weeks ago I requested qd’s and said there is no way to do it, and of course now they will use them. Just lovely, things always seem to go my way.
Any ETA on when the QDs will begin to be used in the sticks?
11 weeks wait… Probably you are the one that is on the top of the order list but not sure the reason other orders around the time you ordered got theirs. I will probably be ending up waiting a total of 10 weeks to get mine (no customization). Seeing what you have been through over the past few weeks, you have the right to be frustrated since you ordered well before SF IV. I have been urging for a FAQ for a long time and they finally put one up recently, hopefully that will speed up the process for everyone. All you can do now is see if the stick was worth all that wait to ease any sort of regret.
So a bunch of sticks were supposed to ship out today. Anyone on these boards getting theirs soon and got an email?
Mine is way down the list, so would like to see that list get shorter right quick.
I believe I’m at #1799… still a long way to go. FML
im on the same boat with u Yockamundo. my order number # 1794. gonna be a looooong while. i just cant wait cuz i recently found out king of fighters 12 is coming out for consoles in july. woot woot! :woot:
the heck? why? :lame:
FWIW, I emailed Ed to be sure on button colors. If you choose “Seimitsu” then you get translucent buttons of the colors you choose. If you choose “Seimitsu clear” then you get clear buttons now matter what colors you choose (the form forces you to always choose colors).
I have problems with repetitive stress syndrome (basically carpal tunnel). The tendons in my left thumb are badly inflamed. I can no longer play charge characters, it makes it really bad. I still play shotos, even though I really shouldn’t be playing at all. I really need my stick!
I think I need to buy a new Dualshock 3. I primarily play with Shadaloo characters, and with all the charging my D-Pad has issues recognizing down forward or down back.
SF4 is basically un-playable for me with a dualshock 3. I seem to miss half the inputs on the d-pad, and the sticks are not that much better, and in the heat of battle I accidentally hit the Playstation button, bringing up the XMB. I have not even finished any of the characters in arcade mode, much less ventured online.
My stick can’t get here soon enough. Though i have a long way to go. I have a feeling I will only be able to play this game in summer. Hopefully people will still be playing this game at that time.
What I did not like about the SixAxiS or DualShock3 is that It is hard to push 3 buttons at a time, so I do have to use the left trigger buttons for them. I cannot do a DP motion at will fast enough on a pad either.
No worries about the competition level in the summer, it will be played since it is in the EVO2009 lineup and probably for a few more years afterwards. If not, theres plenty of competition on GGPO.
Oh no, i am not concerned about local tournaments. I am talking about online on PSN against other opponents. Hopefully this game does stay popular for a long time (at least judging by the demand in sticks and parts, that does seem to be the case).
Ive noticed the number of players on Street Fighter II HD Remix has dropped considerably so I see your point. In general over time, only the hardcore players will still play SF IV, and that goes with any game inevitably. Will tell you that games that have good balance such as SSF2T and Starcraft, expect the longevity to be 10+ years. The drop in number of players for SF IV will not happen anytime soon though, just the number of scrubs online will however drop fast real soon. When you get your AIAB stick, you will still run into good comp and it will probably be better that you play good players rather than random fierce shoryuken players.
Ive seen lots of fighting games released, but SF IV seems to feel a lot like a blockbuster.
I am getting back into fighting games b/c of SF IV.
I saw this on the website, but I will not be able to make it b/c of distance. Someone going to this mind taking pictures of the SF IV setups?
Do the PS3 versions of the arcade sticks use the Cthulu board? May be answered here but i am not going to read through 50+ pages to find out!
Thanks.
Just wanted to say congrats. I just checked your order status, its ridonkulous!!! Well done guys!!!
Ordered a stick from arcade-in-a-box now I need to find some good artwork that they allow to use. Any threads on here with good templates or other resources that dont use capcom characters? Some great stuff in the Fightstick template thread, but its all characters from games =/
Pretty much. In fact, Ed is the primary reason the Cthulhu exists at all. If it wasn’t for him having the faith in funding the first batch for me to make for him, it probably wouldn’t exist at all right now.
Wow, that’s pretty cool. Thanks for the info.
