I forgot to ask… for my AIAB Dual Stick, which headseat should I buy to use for 360 and PS3? I remember someone mentioning a while back that there was one that wasn’t compatible with the AIAB stick because of the module (doesn’t fit).
I will be a mentor/tutor for people on SFIV for both 360 and PS3, so I want to be able to help right off the bat.
It has been mentioned that the headset jack is only for the 360 portion and not the PS3.
Also the webpage mentions this:
“Does not work with the official XBOX 360 headset. We suggest you use your old xbox headset or a 2.5mm cell phone headset.”

As far as the PS3 is concerned, the headset does not connect directly to the controller. The system has a bluetooth hub for up to 7 devices and picks up most cellular phone headsets just fine, I think that is a better design than what the XBOX360 has.
On another note, I have not seen the order progress updated in a week now. Probably Ed is getting ready for the Jace Hall appearence thats going to happen tomorrow. Not sure whether it will delay the orders by another week but good luck with that

Actually, the official xbox 360 headset you buy by itself (I think it’s 15 bucks) does work with the aiab stick. It’s the one with the volume control/mute switch on the cord itself closer to the headset rather than the one near the plug itself. It’s a normal (I think) 2.5 mm plug.

I use it and it works great. I got mine at best buy for the previous custom stick I had and I’ve seen them at walmart too.
Ed, I’m going to order a stick today. I know you’re still backed up, and I don’t mind waiting. What I wanted to ask is that I need to get some one to do my customer stick art. I probably won’t have it for about 2 weeks. I didn’t figure that was an issue, but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t before I order one of your sticks.

I might recall Ed mentioning that the newest batch of MadCatz X360 PCBs he uses has the headset jack fixed, though I wish X360 implemented bluetooth to begin with like the PS3.
On the order status page, I do see “Waiting for artwork from supplier” on the comments page so I suppose it is ok to place the order first and then submit the artwork later. You should order soon or else you would end up waiting longer.
Ya no kidding , I ordered mine when it said , 2-4 week wait . Thats the only reason I ordered from arcade-in-a-box was for the wait time, I acctually thought since it said 2-4 weeks , I would have gotten my order in 2-4 weeks, I have been waiting 7 weeks, this sucks, if I would have known it was going to be 7- 8 weeks I would have made my own stick. Wich I was originaly going to do , but i wanted the fastest way to get a stick(4 weeks seemed like a resonable wait time), I really wish I went with my own stick , as I would have been playing 4 weeks ago:shake:
Im not bashing or anything , Iam just frusterated it has taken this long. In fact the only reason I did not just pre order a SF TE stick is I did not want to wait till febuary, guess what its 3 days away from febuary , so I just hope I get mine before street fighter 4 comes out.
I do not work at AIAB, but most people are feeling frustrated as well, including Ed himself. I did not mean to throw in Jace Hall causing the delay, it was not right for me to say such a silly thing when Ed was clearly focused on getting the new shop up and running.
If time was such a big essence to your decision on a stick, have you thought about buying a HRAP and modding the buttons (since you expressed interest in a TE)? You could have a decent Japanese based stick in about a week or two. I know that I cannot build a stick for myself and I am looking for HAPP based parts, so AIAB was the best thing for me.
With bygones being bygones, you will probably get your stick on the next batch according to the order list (first week of December) and before SF IV comes out. At least try to enjoy the stick you will be getting and see if it was worth all the wait. I knew I might not get mine before SF IV when I bought mine, I just did not have enough money to spend to order it sooner like months ago.
^^^ ya I have been trying to find anything , just to keep me occupied. I cant seem to find anything , I live in Canada , I was even trying to find a hori ex 2 but no luck. I really wished I pre ordered a te. Atleast on the bright side I waited 7 weeks how much longer could it possible be right. If anyone knows where I could get another arcade stick in a super fast manor please post a link or pm me the link thanks. I have tried finding a custom builder but everyone was full. I never thought it would be this difficult to buy a stick, if you have enough cash and you are willing to pay up to 300 bucks it should not be that hard to find. Owell I cant wait to get my AIAB stick , I just really want a stick now, and yes I want 2 sticks for one freinds come over , so they cant bitch at me for haveing an unfair advantage.

I know the HRAP EX wont be released in the US till February and it costs an arm + leg to import one here from Japan. Seems like you can get from ArcadeShock right now.

not much info this week anyone get sticks this past week and now its feb the count down to SF4 hope to have my sticks before then
mine got shipped on friday and im the one whom is at the top of the list and have waited the longest.
hopefully i should recieve it by next weekend (international shipping).
at least i will have 2 weeks to try and get use to a stick again.

48 days , 7 weeks as of tomorow, and there is still 39 people ahead of me on the order que! I am starting to thing I wont be getting mine for street fighter 4 , as I was told it would be ready to ship mid January, like I said I would not be chocked if I ordered it when it said 6-8 weeks , but when I ordered it said 2-4 weeks. So I just tried not to think about it, (I acctualy got pretty good on my pad) kept playing, I thought okay it’s been 4 weeks, I understand X-mas came and everything , but I thought for sure when I was told it would ship mid January , atleast by the end of January at the very latest I would have it in my possesion, now I have 38 people ahead of me and 20 days before street fighter 4 releases, and Im sure atleast 5 days wiull be shipping. I dont really see how that order que even helps, it has not completion dates or anything. Owell Im sure it will sho up one day.:looney:
heh well at least ur ahead of me i ordered mine on Dec 22, and i stopped playing SSFHD lol just incase i get bored of it by the time my stick comes in, I was always good with the controller but i seem to be getting worst on it.

The front page does say 6-8 weeks to deliver, and then factor in that he got delayed a week.
