I’ve plateaued at 1000pp player, but I’m afraid that if i learn things like frame data, frame traps, and option selects i might lose the enjoyment i get from the game now. I guess what i want to ask is once yall broke this plane in your game play did it change your enjoyment when winning?
If you have fun mashing buttons and being random, that’s fine, but I found that discovering the complexity behind USFIV allowed me to experiment more with the game and have more fun. I’m currently hanging around low 2k, not that that means anything, but at this point I know what I’m losing to most of the time. learning new tools and maximizing my game knowledge removes the unknown factor from my gameplay, and I’ve found I can really appreciate the game more.
I guess what I’m trying to say is if your goal is to get better at the game, then learning more will never result in a loss of enjoyment. If you don’t care, then it doesn’t matter.
