Well thereās only one American that inspires victory. His music burning the hearts of all those in danger, motivating them to turnabout and win the day!
Cryoh complains about his outdated decks while smashing me BibleThump. I want to get bck at him but my excuse is that I donāt have all my cards on NA.
Itās true, I was looking at my Hunter deck and it was still running 1 MD/1 Freezing/2 Explosive Traps, which was the hotness when rush was all over the place, but suffers in a Miracle and Tauntadin environment.
I still like my 2x Explosive Traps, but I dropped one of my Hounds in favor of other stuff. I am really enjoying Explosive Shot, in most circumstances I use it as a controlled Deadly Shot that can smack some other targets if I am lucky. I want to get another, along with the Secrets Bow and a few more things.
Slowly turning my Hunter deck away from Beast Heavy, as I find that deck to be rather limited in the new Meta and to reliant on Synergy that can stolen away. So now I am adding other cards and combos to make it more resilient, although I still suffer from card draw issues.
I can help bounce some ideas off of you for other Hunter deck ideas. The main problem about straying away from Beast synergy is that itās pretty much what Hunter excels at, since so many of their class cards either pump or create Beasts, and if you make a more neutral-focused deck, other classes can typically do it better.
Indeed, I just want a healthier mix. It seems to often I am reliant on the Synergy, and everyone has seen it before and unlike Miracle Rogue, I canāt just spring some unbeatable combo out to win the game for me if I get in a rough spot.
Some help would be cool, can go over stuff and see what we can come up with.
Well, Miracle Rogue is pure cancer, since itās the only class that can just straight up draw through most of their deck and win. Mage can kind of emulate the playstyle, but they have to live until turn 9 to drop Alexstraza and then burn with their remaining burn cards.
Most hunter decks should run 2 Freezing traps, that card is crazy. Have you two seen that Simba guy on twitch? Heās playing control hunter with very good success. His decklist was very interesting to say the least.
Iāll check it out, I planned to craft another Freezing. Iāve just had varying success with it in comparison to Explosive, since I need to spring it at a good time and hope I donāt waste it on a chump enemy.
I run them in one of my decks, but I donāt think itās necessary to have freezing trap. IMO, itās probably the least important trap out of all of them. Doesnāt mean they arenāt good though. In order for them to be effective, you have to force the opponent to activate the trap with the minion you want gone. I love it when I can freeze trap a legendary with a high cost, because it means they arenāt coming back out.
Should be the other way around, traps are hella useful without the bow, whereas having the bow without traps is essentially useless. You can always make use of traps, you canāt always make use of the bow.
Iād say craft a few and see how you like them, Explosive is kind of a god send card as it gives Hunter some AoE damage. Explosive Shot works as well, but I donāt find it as cost effective, but you certainly have more control over it.
