Shadowform is tough to use in this current meta, since so many Priest cards get synergy from heals, not from you being able to slap something for 2 damage each turn. Additionally, it’s rather tough to get enough breathing room to spare the 3 mana for Shadowform, when you can play Auchenai for a ghetto Shadowform for 1 more mana, plus getting a body on the field.
Yeah, Auchenai makes it really hard to justify Shadowform.
Shadowform is a great arena card, I feel. It just doesn’t necessarily go with what priest wants to do as a class in constructed. Even the beat down/go to the face priest needs to heal minions or hero.
The issues that I personally have with thoughtsteal is that he gets two of my cards for the cost of one card and that it “only” costs 3 mana.
It’s a slow card against most classes but as a pure control paladin I won’t have anything on the board to pressure him with before turn 4 most of the time which lets him cast it without any real downsides.
That combined with how my deck is currently constructed it’s impossible for him to get a bad card. All my minions are either utility (minions with heals, battle cries etc) or big taunts and most of my spells works all too well against my own deck (Harrison on my weapons or humility/aldor on my big dudes).
Despite that it won’t win the game for him most of the time but it sure as hell still sucks to get Harrison’d twice in the same game because of some incredible rng :mad:
you pick thoughtsteals so that you steal 2x ancients of lore every game vs druids
Thoughtsteal is so fun though! What’s wrong with stealing a nice tirion and a truesilver champ? Only later to mind control the original tirion? Paladins love that.
I try to reduce RNG as well as possible and I also dislike losing tempo from playing cards like Sprint or Arcane intellect. Thoughtsteal is the two combined.
Hopefully midrange and minion heavy priest is consistent enough to be playable in Naxx.

I like arcane intellect. It makes me cycle through my deck faster so I can get my Alexstraza.
After playing freeze mage for a couple days now I noticed I have a good win rate against zoo and handlocks. Token Druids are a little tricky cause they keep pumping out threats all game. Paladin with heals is my hardest match up lol
I dusted a Thoughsteal and told Cryoh it was crap, then saw it used effectively on streams.
Now I feel stupid.
Nigga, after all of the times that I’ve used Thoughtsteal on you, you still insisted it was ass. It’s awesome because Priest interactions with other class cards can be hilarious, and the opponent can’t see it coming (Aldor Peacekeeper/Humility + Cabal Shadow Priest = godlike).
That one’s on you. 
Soulpriest + pally/druid healing cards. Funny how healing gets budgeted for less mana.

It’s so odd that Priests have a spec dedicated to healing in the MMO, yet don’t have any direct healing cards due to Auchenai Soulpriest existing.
