Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

@Saitsu F2P priest sucks, takes a lot of time to get to a playable state.

This is probably the best cheap list you can get with priest, 10 rares in there though.

This is what I currently play on NA, f2p. If there are a lot of mages around I add a sw:p.

Finished 6-3. Last game was a nailbiter, but I lost.

Oh well.

Well I could go away from Priest in the end. Either way I’m starting with Neutrals.

I’m just debating on which Hero benefits my style more.

Well priests are generally a control class with a very strong late game.

a very brief class overview

Druid - class with probably the most varied and flexible decks out there ramp, midrange, control, token, whatever. Downsides being that youll want 2x ancient of lores asap which are both epics and several class cards keeper of grove, wraths, druid of the claw, 1x starfall and a fair amount of solid neutrals. Can make do without the ancient of lores for awhile but theyre practically core cards that hold all druid decks together.

Rogue - can make a effective deck with solid neutrals and a couple class cards eviscerate and agents and make a cheap but effective tempo deck. Was my go to class when i started out and would definitely recommend it. Miracle rogue being a top tier competitor but pretty expensive to craft.

Shaman - another class with notably good budget deck options. You’ll want lightning storms asap and several other class cards, though i am not up to date with their builds.

Mage - aggro mages are a thing at the moment to counter zoos and the like, a tradtional control mage might work for you but not really that strong unless theres a deck i missed out on. One of the best hero powers in the game and very simple but effective spells.

Paladins - Welllll youd probably want to look this class over unless youe looking the build an odd aggro paladin, a fair amount of their notable decks are quite expensive to craft. Not too amazing apparently in this meta as well. If you got an idea involving divine shields protcting so and so minions, buff related playstyle, go ahead and have fun. Truesilvers are amazing, equality bread and butter combos, Peace Keeper to keep big minions in line or to help trade more favorably

Warlock - Its either the extremely cheap but extremely effective Zoo or handlock. The former is pretty simple aggro deck at a glance, probably not too fun if youre looking for a more control based playstyle. Handlock requires quite abit of expensive cards, iv heard of handlocks without alex/jaraxxus and even giants but thats another story.

Hunter - Former or possibly still the king of rushdown with surprisingly varied decks. The infamous unleash the hounds recently got nerfed but theyre still relevant. Pretty cheap to craft decks and playing the trap version can be fun imo, misdirection is a hilarious trap.

Warrior - Aggro warrior decks are among ā€œthe most consistent decks out thereā€ forgot where I heard this from, either way, relevant aggro decks, fun enrage playstyle if you want to poke at it, control warrior not being too relevant now and quite expensive, but still pretty powerful.

Priest - I think best described as a tournament class that’s very strong in certain match ups if you build for it, but very inconsistent/difficult for ranked play. Priests do best at pissing druids off to no end.

Priest is still the one class i really hate to face with my druid deck

I also just realized that I should be saving my gold for Naxxus…is it a set or is it just an event thing that we complete with each class and earn cards?

In Naxx, every week they release a new wing, and when you clear the wing you get cards. First week will be free and the rest of the weeks will cost an undisclosed sum. I’m sitting on 3000 gold right now.

Ugh, I’ve been doing arena runs and stuff…I’m only at like 250g…

Oh my god this freaking warlock was on death row with an empty hand and lethal next turn. He draws a leroy and the +4/+4 card when I’m at 10…then he taunts me…CHRIST

After my 7-3 first arena run, I went 1-3 with another druid and 2-3 with a shaman. Beginners luck I guess! I don’t think I labored over choosing cards like I did on the first run.

I learned a few things, like not letting the ā€œfor every spell cast put a fireball in handā€ legendary live. I was 1 hp away from getting lethal and I got jobbed hard.

I ended up getting some useful cards for constructed so I’m not too bummed. Auctioneer, conceal, sunfury protector, plus some class cards that should make dailies easier.

Been playing this. Priest, with emphasis on drawing/hand size (Mind Vision, Thoughtsteal, Northshire Cleric, etc.) and on minions that can give other minions Taunt. Seems okay; if I lose it’s usually because I got too impatient and emptied my hand early, or didn’t re-draw the right cards at the beginning.

What other kinds of cards are you running? Mind Vision probably isn’t the best choice, since it only replaces itself with a different card. If you’re not running them already, I’d recommend running Injured Blademasters and Circle of Healing, especially if you’re already running Northshire Clerics. Really valuable cards, and relatively cheap to craft.

Got all my decks to at least level 10 (I wanted a pack), now grinding out Advance AI for another and working on a few deck theories. Sorta biding my time until the new set is released and rest on a few sure fire decks in the meantime.

Should do another tournament soon as well, I’ll still be the jobber, but whatever it is fun.

Just tried out aggro mage on the ladder since theres a bunch of hunters and zoo out there.

This deck seriously gives no fuck at all about what those two do rofl.

I’m trying to make a Warlock deck involving Mana Wraiths/Pint-Sized Summoners/Summoning Portal. The idea is that I make it hard for the opponent to bring minions out while I cancel out the wraith’s effects on my side. Anyone try this out?

Just went 1-3 in a arena run, I AM horrible at these games but even I was pissed off after a couple of horrible draw hands which just went downhill.

I opened up my reward card pack and got these:

Guess I can’t complain in terms of what a got from the situation.

So I just played a zoolock that had a molten giant in it… the fuck?

He was rank 9 too

If I had a molten giant, I’d put it in my zoo deck. Zoo is a race to 30 deck, and you’re going to be life tapping to build the biggest board possible as fast as possible. Getting an 8/8 on board cheap, or even free, makes sense.

I’ve also seen Questing Adventurers in zoo decks. Took me by surprise, but it makes sense in a deck that has nearly half its cards at 2 mana or cheaper.

The deck becomes too slow with Moltens and you’ll be throwing away with Doom Guard most of the time. If you happen to get one out your opponent should still have their kill a big dude card left since the deck doesn’t play large threats.

Disenchanted all my Mage cards, used my 5k dust bank and spent my 4k gold Naxx savings. Fuck it.

I know what most of those cards do.

Progress!
