Yeah, I don’t know how I ended up playing one shaman out of all those games. The first match I had after I took that screenshot was, naturally, a shaman. I won.
The funny thing about those stats is how different things are from my perception at the time. Most of those paladin losses were pretty close and I didn’t feel overwhelmed or anything. Meanwhile, I’ve dominated mages and most of those games didn’t feel dominant at all.
Hearthtracker doesn’t pick up my games properly so I stopped using it,
@RadicalFuzz I would disenchant it as long as the dust is going towards something you need, Lay on Hands is hardly a staple card for Paladins (in my opinion) and it’s easy to make do without it in case you reroll.
The most important cards for Hunter are 2 sets of traps (Misdirection and Flame trap for burn or Frost Trap and Flame trap for control), 2 Eaglehorn bows and 2 Unleash the hounds. Beasts that are worth crafting are Stranglethorn Tiger, Savannah Highmane and possibly Stampeding Kodo, all these are for midrange to control oriented decks though.
I like the concept of the traps in that they can remove the opponent’s creatures/threats while allowing me to continue my momentum even if I’m going for an offensive deck so I’ll make a few of those. I pulled a Misdirection and while it can be crazy if the opponent has one bomb out or I get lucky with the RNG, I don’t like how unreliable it is. The Eaglehorn Bows look like they’d be a good addition, after the traps. Unleash the Hounds is absolutely bonkers with the other beast cards like Buzzard & Timber Wolf, I’ll probably craft those first. Not digging the Kodo for the same reason as Misdirection, but the Tiger & Highmane look sick. Thanks for the help
I didn’t even realize LoH was a Paladin card until I looked it up lol, I rarely play Paladin so I’ll DE it and build towards Hunter.
King how did you have 3 Unleash the Hounds? I thought the limit for a specific card per deck was 2?
My best arena run was Rogue where I got 11 wins with 4 eviscerates. The biggest minion I got was Lord of the Arena but it didn’t matter. Last game I lost against a priest busted out 3 legendaries
How is the BGH influx for you NA people? Seeing it a lot now after the Tink changes. I’ll be forced to play Leeroy over Ragnaros in my Rogue decks if this goes on, something I really don’t look forward to.
There’s definitely a huge rise in Handlock decks now that tink is gone. Which is kinda trouble for Miracle druid since that’s one of their worst matchups.
So black knight and BGH will definitely be useful.
As for my opinion on Lay on hands. It’s great in a control pally deck that utilizes a shit load of healing though paladins are another class that took a big hit from Tink being nerfed, but if you don’t plan on playing a deck like that any time soon then go ahead and dust it.
When you’re just starting and in serious need of dust, getting those bits of 100 dust is a fucking god send.
Also as a note, Hunters have some of the most cheapest to craft yet competent rush decks out there. DEing the lay on hands for a eagle horn bow would be great.
ggs Juu
What were the most glaring issues you saw in our matches? I know I was being extremely obvious and incompetent with the explosive traps lol, but aside from that.
I’d rather craft the bow last. I want to make sure that I know which traps I’m using and how much I like them before committing to the bow when I might end up only using 1 or 2 in my final build. I crafted an UtH and a Freezing Trap, which I both like, and the next thing I’m going for is Savannah Highmane. Fits into the 6 spot when I don’t currently have anything for it, and I like the ability to trade with other bigs and still come out positive.
What are some good cards/heroes to look out for in Arena?
I would normally feel bad for you, but you’re playing Murlocs, so that’s just what happens when you don’t close the door on the game by turn 5.
RadicalFuzz - This list is pretty damn good for making a solid arena deck. Of, course, you’ll sometimes get those super shit choices like Murloc Tidehunter, Wisp, and Greyscale Oracle, but them’s the breaks.
Stealthed a Questing Adventurer up to 12/9 before I finally attacked. Secured the win. Wisps + shadowstep + adventurer is a pretty good combination.
UTH can be a very dramatic card, probably why people are saying it’s OP when they have 4 minions out and nothing has taunt. 2 Timber Wolves + 4 3/1s with Charge can lead to a lot of QQ
Had a sick game against a Rogue yesterday. Didn’t get jack out while she’s hitting me in the face for 4/5 turns. Hand was full of flamestrike/fireball/etc that I didn’t want to play until I had to. I get a small offense going, and take out a creature or two, but I’m at about 12 and she still has 2 or 3 creatures left. By the time I get rid of her last creature she brings me down to 1. Play the secret that gives me 8 armor when I’m hit and hope she doesn’t have a Shiv. Dude taunts me, goes to hit me with the dagger, and then pops my armor. Flamestrike his field, swing like crazy, repeat. Ended up taking the game
It’s understandable why UTH frustrates people, because it kind of penalizes you for being successful. More board dominance = more mutts in that ass. It’s pretty counterintuitive to deal with.
