I just need to learn how to go to that chat thing for tomorrow. I still don’t know what decks I’ll use. Most of my decks doesn’t run epics or legendaries so I just need to switch a couple cards. I gotta figure out which are the least crappiest decks I gotta roll with though
I have had some of the most hilarious situations come up with this deck. I’ll tell you about it tomorrow after the tournament.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I am gonna be able to make the tournament, we’ll see if a miracle happens
Do we have to submit decklists ahead of time to somewhere?
Add me to the front page please VagrantLest#1398
Can anyone assist me with the IRC channel? Trying to join gets me “# Cannot join channel, you need the correct key (+k)” i’ve never been very familiar with IRC.
I want to take part in the tourney, but I’ll likely be a bit late.
Don’t worry about submitting decklists. Everyone will have to announce the classes that they are running in the chat before tourney start.
VagrantLest - Weird, there isn’t a channel key on #hearthstoneSRK.
OH yeah my tag is #1196
And the first SRK Hearthstone tournament is complete! Brackets are here, and the results were as follows:
Supreme Champion: VagrantLest
Worthy Adversary: OwattJacob
Maybe Next Time: Cryoh
I’ll try to throw something together next month - perhaps full constructed, with no cards off limits?
Thanks Cryoh! The tournament was a blast. I had a lot of fun.
How was the class distribution?
Tournament was fun, I wish we played more games though. We had 5 people who were 3-1, I felt we needed another round or so. But thanks Cryoh, do these more often.
I heard King was beasting over everyone with his Hunter deck. I was also very intrigued with Warp’s priest. His matches took like 30 minutes lol, grinding it out
Heh, part of that is my deck/playstyle, and part of it is me just lacking experience and taking a long time to figure out the optimal move in situations. Sometimes I did, and it got me through tight situations like in that first game against owatt that went forever (seriously wish I had recorded that match, it was hilarious). Other times I just misplayed it, like in the first game against king99 that got me killed on turn 7 due to a miscalculation. It also slows things down that all my old decks had pretty poor card draw, and with the new one I usually have way more cards to play with, which means more to think about. It definitely is skewed toward staying alive until turn 10 and then making all hell break loose, though. I usually have my Sylvanas in there, along with two mind control techs, because I don’t want you to keep shit.
I kept getting really fluky draws last night. I played 6 total games as priest and got mind control 3 times. The first game I played I got 0 spells. Dozens of matches before that, I got those cards in like 95% of my games. Good thing is that it exposed some holes in my knowledge and in my build that i can work on fixing.
Here are my matches.

EDIT: I thought I fixed the issue with the black screen. You’ll have to skip ahead a bit to see the matches.

Was a interesting hunter vs druid match lol
Jacob what’s your tag?
.
I ran as Kaaww during the tournament
Miracle druid was no match for hunter!
It was awkward for both of us, I had violet teachers on my hand that of course I can’t play and mulligan’d for early game removal due to the matchup but we both had similar combo hands that focused on removing big threats that is waiting to punish anything big that gets thrown down. noticed when he was playing nothing but steady shots at the start
Miracle druid vs hunter was noted as a 8-2 matchup generally since druid has a shit load of control and from what I played I agree. Though a control hunter might be a different story.
Shaman on the other hand I do feel is a tougher matchup. Shaman, control lock one of the worst matchups for miracle druid, control mage are one of the tougher matchups mostly because of their strong AoE removals + single target removals. Paladin is 50/50, depending on what they used equality/conc on or if they get it at all.
Rush down decks are incredibly in favor for miracle druids. The deck can fend off rush down and return with an insane amount of minions consistently.
