Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

Mind vision is dick but thoughtsteal is fine because it’s +1 card advantage.

Playing it on turn 3 is the same as summoner ability turn 2 (don’t do it)

Just won using a discard deck. Fatigued the opponent’s deck and got the win. Love this deck! I can use it to punish card draws, which is what happened with the opponent (he was a Priest).

Here’s the deck I’m using:

One thing I learned is that deathrattles will still activate if the card ends up being discarded while it was in play. I thought that wouldn’t happen, but it’s something to watch out for. Any tips on how to make this deck better? I don’t have enough dust for a second Coldlight Oracle.

I didn’t notice until now that Ysera brings out 0 mana cost spells. no wonder it’s hilarious in a violet paw deck, I knew she brought out those spells but never knew til now that they were so incredibly cheap

Not counting the 5 damage to everything but ysera nuke.

So on top of summoning a uber buff Faerie dragon, a 7/6 for 4 mana… god damn.

King, why Ancient Brewmaster over Youthful Brewmaster?

I don’t have it. I might be able to gather some dust for it.

Ah, I see. Anyways, that deck looks like a fun way to give control some headaches.

I just want to be sure about something. If I want to discard any cards in play, I have to make sure the opponent’s hand is full first, right? Otherwise all those cards will go into their hand, even if they have like 9 cards, correct?

EDIT: N/m, got my answer.

Yeah you need that second Coldlight Oracle

Kinda on your way to making a warlock murloc

So, I’m thinking about holding a small SRK Hearthstone tournament in the near future (sometime within the next 1-3 weeks), with the winner getting a Steam game worth $10-20. Are there any particular formats that you all want to see? Here’s what I’ve been thinking for the rules:

If under 8 people, round robin. If over 8 people, swiss.

Everyone makes two decks, with two different classes.

Matches are a best of 3 (first to 2 wins), with the loser being forced to switch to a different deck.

No epics or legendaries, in order to allow newer players to compete without getting their nuts stomped in by money decks. Additionally, it fosters creativity to a certain extent.

No epics and legendaries? I can already think of a deck that’ll do well within those rules

I believe Cryoh have been vocal about playing said deck, quite the coincidence

I like this. I’m in. My decks are still incomplete anyway, I have shitty legendaries, so it won’t change my playstyle at all

I think we should go limited in order to even the playing field with the newer guys. I think thats a great idea man. I think we should do it

I’m in. I already have 2 decks I use, I just have to remove the one epic card I have.

EDIT: I love when people quit early, like getting out a 6/6 blood knight in two turns

Also King Mukla

And Lorewalker Cho

If you really want to ride that hand filling theme : )

I like this, but it might be worth considering having 3 decks submitted. Even if you don’t want to do 3/5, it gives you some room to make 3 complementary decks to switch between and choose the 2 for any particular match.

I like the three deck idea, so I’ll make that change. I’m thinking about running this thing on either Feb. 24th or 25th.

Would be nice to have, but I’m basically counting on RNG to get those. Or if I can win more arena battles, I guess.

Got a second Coldlight Oracle. Now to see what I can do with this deck.

My current arena deck is 10-2, and I’m hopeful that I can finally break the ol’ 11-3 curse this time. Turns out that having 2 Snake Traps, 4 Scavenging Hyenas, and UtH is a pretty good thing.
