Tbh Iâm leaning towards useless, by the time you can cast it youâre probably going to either be in topdeck mode or stomping the opponent already and at 5 defence judging from how many times my Emporer Thaurison survives to see another turn start after being dropped and activating once, it probably isnât going to even live to let you make use of itâs ability unless you are dropping it with a fat taunter or something at 10 mana.
I mean if I was on 10 mana (in Ramp with Thaur and all the mana expansion) Iâd be pretty happy with a 5/5 that has to die and Cenarius or some shit the same turn, even in a worse case scenario you can just pair it with a Belcher/Senâjin or something.
Turn 10, this + innervate is 3 more creatures to drop. But without innervate, you at most get 1 other card played with it⌠but imagine this coming from Sneeds old Shredder : O
Yeah, I just think of it as a Sneedâs card. Other than that, pretty meh but UNDERSTANDABLY meh because any attempt to make that card better might be a problem.
And This Weekâs Tavern BrawlâŚall your minions are turned into Piloted cards essentially.
Finally they are giving druids something to play. They got the short end of the stick for both adventures and the gvg expansion. Finally there are more options for my favorite class. This new legendary looks really cool, plus theyâve added more druid beasts to maybe make that a real thing now.
They are very strongly looking to boost control with this expansion. Inspire type decks are for mid range or control only. They joust mechanic favors high cost minions. That hunter card will suck, if your card is emptyâŚthat never happens except super late game in which case youâve lost already if you are hunter. Besides which Leper gnome gets you 2 extra face damage guaranteed. Core rager had more potential and that card was useless.
The game is going to be dramatically changed with this expansion I think, much more so then any other adventure/expansion. Looking forward to it.
Druid needs more reasons to use Beasts outside of Druid of the Fang. Something along the lines of Kill Command in the sense that you get more buffs for having Beasts out.
Even though Iâm a noob, looking at Aviana, it looks like it has more potential in a troll deck than in a competitive deck. Too expensive to make use of its effect.
No, youâre correct. Itâs not going to see competitive play. Considering how volatile that sort of effect is, thatâs probably a very good thing. Iâd rather err on the safe side when it comes to a card like this.
i just feel like by the time iâve played the jousters i havenât had enough space yet. although they are neat. not really sure why the nyx assassin card is rogue only
I donât see the control elements here, yeah the mechanics promote more mid and late but the meta for a while now has just been face/aggro. I donât see inspire/joust shifting it dramatically. Especially when to get some strong rollover turns with inspire you need multiple minions to survive for a turn or two.
Doesnât help that the classes that work better as control (warrior, Druid) are getting crap so far or stuff that shifts them in a different role. Like Druid I can finally do a attack/armor face deck and be aggro cool tree guy and stuff.
Just another gimmick set, nothing wrong with that, but like GvG it wonât be supported to well in the long run with expansions.
Obviously time will tell, but Control warrior, ramp and or combo/taunt/token druid have always been staples at the top of the mountain. Along with atm face hunter, Grim patron combo warrior (another slower deck, the combo is often late in the game), Oil Rogue (not exactly a fast deck either, but combo mid rangish), etc. I think the balance is pretty good as far as how many control vs midrange vs aggro viable decks there are, obviously aggro is much more popular due to being faster/cheaper to buildâŚhowever nothing u can really do bout that. It is a delicate thing, balance is. Canât have control, midrange, or aggro dominate (I mean in terms of the top decks not popularity among plaerbase) or else the game would be boring and break.
At least blizzard is starting to release more common high mana cards, before that was restricted to legendaries which meant to run a slow control deck was usually very expensive and not viable for a newer player. Your only choice was aggro, and maybe you could build towards mid range. Unfortunately the kraken and Force tank max are really not good enough. Low mana drops there are many excellent commons/rares so it is very easy and cheap to come up with a working deck quickly.
Blizzard has kind of closed off control to newer players. Either youâve played a long time and done much arena, or spent a lot of cash. It is a step in the right direction, kraken and force tank maxâŚthey just need to take further steps. It really is easy to understand why you run into so many aggro decks, it is the only viable deck many people can afford.
The ranked rewards is a great idea by Blizzard. It will reward people for playing ranked. For myself I just play til I get the card back then go to casual or now Tavern brawl to complete my dailies. However now there is rewards for the peak rank you get, the higher the rank the better the reward.
Apparently war commander is being âclosely watchedâ which means like undertaker which was âclosely watchedâ she may be changed in someway.
I have close to 1600 dust, I was planning on the no brainer crafting Dr. BoomâŚwhich is a must have legendary, however that would be just cause how powerful he is. However Aviana looks like such an interesting card and she is DruidâŚagain my favorite class. Tough choice.
