The thing with the Grim Patron deck is you don’t necessarily have to draw Grim Patron to win. There’s so much synergy with the rest of the cards and most of the legends you can just play by themselves.
Also, Grim Patron and Bouncing Blades is as awesome as I’d thought it’d be
Thanks. Another houndmaster sounds good. Another UtH though…I dunno, I took one out when it got nerfed, as well as Leeroy. I had holes to fill which never really got filled, so I’m in some sorta limbo. Should I just scrap it all and go deathrattle?
Deathrattle Priest, maybe. Deathrattle Hunter’s really blah ever since the Undertaker nerf (only +1 to Attack for each Deathrattle minion summoned). The other Deathrattle cards don’t really synergize well with Hunter, and Undertaker can’t carry games anymore.
I looked again, and I don’t think Secretkeeper’s worth running either. Mad Scientist(s) + the bow thing would work better if you want to run secrets. The variety of your secrets can mindfuck opponents, but that means there’s no consistent strategy when you get secrets either. I’d recommend dropping a couple and sticking to two of two secrets.

I think I’m just a bad Warrior player. Think I need to be more patient.
However, Mill Gang Up Rogue has been going well, especially since I squeezed in a Lorewalker Cho. Deadly Poison, Blade Flurry, Coldlight Oracle, Shadowstep, Coldlight again, Gang Up. Not too used to this playstyle but getting the hang of it better than Grim Patron for sure.
(but I did pull off the combo and killed someone from 24 with the patron, that was nice)
The question is, what sort of deck are you going for? This seems like just a kind of all over the place deck. You’ve got elements of face hunter (leper gnome), elements of beast hunter (Houndmaster, tundra rhino, highmane) and you’ve got elements of control hunter (Explosive Shot, Gladiators Long Bow) but you’re not really hitting any one of the 3 because you’re too busy getting elements of each.
You’ve also got too many 1 ofs in there, stick to 2 ofs to make your deck more consistent.
So, basically which one of those areas do you really want to do? It seems like you want to do midrange Hunter, so I’d drop Leper Gnomes, SEcret Keeper, Snipe, MisDirection, Emperor Cobra, IronFur Grizzly, Silverback Patriarch, Explosive Shot. I’d replace it with things like Mad Scientist, Haunted Creeper, Eaglethorn Bow, Snake Trap (running 2x freezing and 1x snake trap most likely), An Ironbeak Owl or two, and add it some big body legendary (Dr Boom) or a solid 5-6 drop (Loatheb, Sylvanas).
Ran into a bug yesterday. Opponent had just done 2 Musters x Quartermaster (he got a shadowstep off Cho earlier), I had…the 2/8 3 mana Taunt thing. Obviously, this was a good time to hit face and then Vanish to mill his cards.
Then the game went nuts, so nuts that neither of us could concede. Only way out was to force the game to quit.
As can be seen, even though it’s technically his turn, my character was still trying to talk about taking up time…except it never ticked down. The turn went on endlessly and neither one of us could do anything besides use the mouse to look at things.
Just a warning about what can happen if anyone wants to try the Rogue deck. Not sure if I can replicate it.
Isnt that just the standard behavior if you disconnect sometimes? It could be a desync bug, which likely caused it, but having a state like that where the game never ends, usually means you’ve already disconnected behind the scenes
Axe flinger is so fun, and leads to some sick combos
Axe Flinger -> Inner Rage deals a huge swing burst.
Axe Flinger combined with whirlwind/deaths bite/cruel taskmaster is a nice bit of extra damage
And of course it combos well with the other good shit, like Grim Patron
The druid didn’t like it when I burst him down. 2 axe flingers on board. Reduced mana warsong in hand.
Drop warsong, and 5 mana grim patron. Axe flinger into boom bot; blows up grim patron for 2 damage, making a copy, 2 damage to face. Second axe flinger into other boom bot, 2 damage to opponents face. Inner rage on copied grim patron, makes a copy. Trade the 1 that was left. Whirlwind, ups my grim patrons to 4 (all with charge), triggers axe flingers, 4 more damage to face.
We don’t need to buy the wings in order right? I’m not so sure on getting this particular wing yet as opposed to next week’s, which has the “make next dragon cost 2 less” card iirc. Sitting on 1.5k gold atm, so that’s two wings guaranteed, just got to choose which ones
On the bright hand, Gang Up Mill Rogue is fun. I was running a variant with Lorewalker Cho and it can reaaaally wreck opponents with spells they don’t want (Sap and Vanish mostly).
true… but axe slinger has such good synergy with the rest of a warrior patron deck. it’s just icing on top of the “fuck you” cake that your serving up to people.
I’ve been running an enrage Warrior deck (with a lot of weapons) for a long time now, these new warrior cards really strengthen it. There might be a legit high tier warrior deck that isn’t uber expensive now.
