Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

So rogues just got their first thief pirate copy card.

“Yes” - BBrode

Ironically, I feel like the game is going to be slowed down quite a bit. Minions are higher health than damage, meaning more trades with bodies left on board. We will see more bigger guys, I think, especially in dragon decks, leading to more controlly cards used (double BGH, sure, but also polymorphs, assassinates, etc), leading to less “Single player” type decks where you have an answer and win, or you don’t.

But on the flip side, the potential for some ridiculous stuff and burst will definitely be there, but will typically end up being late game enough where you can feel out your opponents deck. One turn Kill rogue? Time for Arcane Nullifier to make a rise in popularity : ) One turn Kill Druids even faster? Well, midrange taunt might become more valuable in the meta.

I thought that was pretty apparent from the card, it just says “Minion”

Might be a fun archetype, for sure. I really love echo mage so that might be a fun playstyle to copy with Rogue. Or, mill rogue with coldlight oracles ganged up might be a viable choice!

Remember fellas. All new metas start with the “easiest” game-plan: aggro.

Then go from there.

Aggro…to…mid-range…to…control…to…aggro…to…mid-range…

The empty your hand mechanic is interesting for hunter because it creates an inherent tension.

Face Hunter especially works best when you maximize the number of steady shots you get in when the deck is played at a high level it’s usually wrong to play 2 cards in a turn when you can card+steady. The 3 damage spell is obviously good to go either way because you’re not exactly pissed about either mode, but the reason why the minion is most likely bad is because you don’t just want to dump your hand and not have that steady supply of options, while not doing damage with steady shot.

There will be games lost though where someone should have burned it as a darkbomb, but they hold it for the cantrip and lose. I like skilltesting cards.

This expansion has my complete attention. I’m so excited for the single player experience along side the meta shake up.

So Rogue deck, Majordomo, Rag, Faceless, and Gang up.

All the Rags.

Meanwhile in pre BRM land.

Maybe in another dimension.

Twilight Whelp = Drawbackless Zombie Chows in Dragon decks? Awwww yes

Funny thing is, Twilight Whelp is a super Zombie Chow with the only class that could make Zombie Chow’s drawback a plus.

Well, twilight welp can get earthshocked, Deathlorded, etc and be worse than a chow. Earthshock specifically fucks it over, haha, and I feel like shammy is gonna be more popular. But still, a lot of decks move away from the auchnei soul priest style, and this will help too

Twighlight Whelp was not the card priest needed.

I posted too soon, I didn’t realise it was a Priest card. I thought it was neutral. :frowning:

Well druid class cards are incredibly disappointing, just like GvG. The Volcanic lumberer…maybe in a token deck? Even with trading once it is worse than Ancient of War (which needs no condition to rock). Also druid of the flame? 2/5…or 5/2, exciting. Not really.

Guess some of the neutral cards could work well with druid, just disappointing since they give these exciting kickass class cards to all the other classes, and druid gets boring tame ones.

Yeah I mean Twilight Dwelp is fun…but the Chow is a clock the opponent actually has to deal with before Auchenai Soulpriest comes down.

At the same time though it can push potential Aggro Priest strategies. I mean, Zombie Chow is a hell of an opening already. Let’s add two more to the deck.

Don’t worry. They can always thoughtsteal what they’re missing

And Nefarian. I’m taking ALL of my opponent’s cards!

It’s hard to give Druid something really good because the class is so complete right now.

Freeze mage could be stronger than ever if the meta slows down for a bit in the next season.

Possible infinite with the downsides that it takes 2 turns to set up and requires 6-7 specific cards (shouldn’t be too big of a problem in a freeze deck though)
