Yeah exactly but that still isn’t accurate, the thing is that they might have it but don’t get to play it as well. You pretty much have to weigh whether or not you can play around it or if you simply go by assume they don’t have it. I’ll shoot hearthstats a email about it, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
Thalnos is mainly there to cycle, force a ping and occasionally for the spellpower, 3 damage Backstab and 5 damage Eviscerate (and 5 damage Oil Flurry).
Arcane Golem is pretty important though, losing any amount of damage with this deck is pretty grave.
Replacements would be 1 Novice Engineer and 1 Wolf Rider.
I had a short rundown written down but I must have edited it away when I added the picture.
The deck can win on any turn between 5 and 8, a lot of the Huge blow out plays involve Blade Flurry which is the most important card. Bad match ups are Hunter, Warrior, some Druid and Freeze Mage variations, the rest are either even or in your favor.
You want to be very mindful on how you use your Preparations, Southsea Deckhand, Sap and Hero power. Some wins are set up by using Hero Power 3 turns earlier, hard casting Sprint while keeping Preparation or taking 12 damage by saving Sap. Others by using the same cards generously for tempo.
The first Shadowstep is generally best used on Coldlight, second one is more flexible.
Your damage is very explosive but also limited, keep your hand as sizable as possible.
The worst card in the deck is Loot Hoarder but I believe he is a necessary evil. I was initially playing with 2 Shivs instead but it left no body to eat a creature hit or 2 mana from a ping. Novice Engineer had a similar impact as Shiv, left alive more often than Loot Hoarder but not really accomplishing anything with it. The trade off is that Loot Hoarder is a terrible top deck.
Mulligan for Backstab, Agent, Deckhand, Blade Flurry and Deadly Poison against aggressive decks, generally keep Loot Hoarder if you have one of those and keep Thalnos only if you have a Blade Flurry or a Backstab. Midrange/Control keeps aren’t as specific, gravitate towards Loot Hoarder, Agent and Coldlight. Keep 1 sap against Druid and if confident, Warlock.
Sorry for the formatting.
