Just went 12-1 with a Rogue deck that had 2 bandits and 4 agents, and a bunch of other decent 2-3 drop creatures. Just overwhelmed people early. No legendaries, epics, or really that many rares (nothing special, no weapons at all, etc.). People underestimate controlling board presence early and overwhelming the opponent.
Here’s what 12-1 got me in arena winnings by the way, not bad!
Coin -> agents is so good that I’m considering on taking out defias in favor of faerie dragons in my rogue deck instead. I feel that faerie dragons are much more threatening early game and pretty decent in mid/late game. Whereas defias is pretty good when coined out but occasionally they just get stuck in my hand until I can get a combo out, often not really worth the effort compared to agents unless they were to buff the 2nd dude to 2/2
The agents are great, 2nd favorite unit only to Keeper of the grove, but not by too far of a margin since being able to coin in a agent at turn 2, kill a opposing faerie dragon opening, and then lay down a 3/3 minion is great. Azure drake/thalnos is amazing too.
lol everytime I have gotten 12 I was like take your damn cards back give me more gold! I saw someone get over 500 gold once and all I get are foil silences :(. I have gotten 5 foil silences and 3 Alexstrazas shit is unreal.
Started playing this game yesterday, got to like rank 18 already
I don’t plan on spending money on packs. Should I give up already if I expect to be any good? I’ve ran into some crazy OP cards already so I know what I’d be up against.
New people who are having difficulty right now, don’t worry. You are just running into a lot of people who have been around since season one. Since everybody starts at the bottom of the ladder come each new season, people will take a beating for a while until the veterans ascend the ladder and you face more equal competition.
Went to fire up the game and I’m locked out of my account because my connection changed. I was gone all weekend, hooked up to another network, but I didn’t open up Bnet at all.
If you’re getting smacked around by nut orange cards then stick to casual queues for a bit.
On the flip side I went on a nut streak with my shitty rogue deck in casual constructed, really digging the rogue play style of early incremental advantage with damage to the face finishers.
Are you saying this because you tried it, or are these just hypothetical situations? It doesn’t seem like a big deal to sacrifice a minion that can be easily replaced.
