Curious, are you using 1 of so many card because you don’t have the 2x you need, or because you like the variety?
I had a bit of success with my paladin deck today (I had the 5 wins as paladin/priest quest).
I tweaked it a bit, I dropped the blessing of wisdom and 2x knife jugglers, and added in 2x loot hoarders and 1 more Shattered Sun Cleric. Went pretty good. Lost 1 close game to a mirror paladin deck that got a Dark Iron Dwarf up to like 12 attack (4 + blessing of might + blessing of kings + sword of justice) and put a divine shield on it. I didn’t have an equality and it was gg. I stabilized finally but he had truesilver + consecration for the final 6 damage, before I could drop my guardian of kings to heal.
I’d say after the open beta has been out for like a month, we should do an SRK tournament
A mix of both. If I had two Blood Imps, I’d be using both of them. Same with the Grimscale Oracle. I swear saw a card that gave murlocs +2/+1…I need to have it.
I haven’t found the Lightwarden too useful until I realized that she gets the boost if *any * healing occurs. I think she would be useful for (and against) Priests as long as she’s in play. I respect Defender of Argus too.
Do the effects of Summoning Portal stack? I only have one, so I can’t check if they do.
EDIT: What does a gold card do besides look pretty?
I suggest taking out your Murlocs for other more efficient cards until you have all of them. Summoning portal stacks, you should search for answers on www.hearthhead.com/wowhead.com
Golden cards are only there to look pretty.
I had a guy concede after I had a succubus, a blood imp, and a shade in the 2nd round. And just now, a priest conceded. I guess he had a bad hand or something.
I disagree. having more mana you can’t spend is wasteful. Having something take up a valuable resource (a card) and your 4 mana drop, is pretty wasteful. It’d have to summon 2 creatures to pay for the 4 mana itself, which leaves you mana neutral and at -1 card disadvantage, and 3 creatures just to give you any mana advantage. Plus if you are top decking end game, it’s completely useless.
You can play much better 4 mana minions in that slot that are actually threatening, in my opinion. When you play it, take note of how often you get to summon 3 creatures with it to gain any advtange, how often your tempo slows down spending your turn 4 on it, and if it really does seem to be worth it.
I had a dude in arena drop two of the new blood imps on me on turn 1 with the Coin. Those little fuckers did nothing but buff each other’s HP the whole game.
nsc means Closed beta vs Open beta players. There’s some people doing dumb shit like turn one Rockbiter Weapon to the face, which is an obvious sign that they are new to the game.
I think arena is great. You get to try out different cards and combinations while getting prizes. Sometimes they don’t necessarily add up, but I think arena games are the most fun.
