I’ve noticed the lack of a Win Condition and I’m not exactly sure how to fix it, especially with my limited card pool.
You could replace a Senjin with a Deathlord and Darkscale with Inner Fire.
I’d be more inline with something simple like a boulder fist ogre over a darkscale healer.
Yeah and even with the Naxx cards it doesn’t immediately help my winning image. Just gives me a stronger midgame with Cultist and a stronger early game with Chow. Which would help of course but I can’t be losing in the late game where this deck is supposed to excel.
You could of course try out deathrattle priest who absolutely has a dangerous win condition and otherwise decent control. Provided if you got naxx.
Also don’t underestimate the Cultist. There were plenty of moments for me where he was the sole reason why i won the game. From either trading favorably while being a bitch to remove, baiting key removals early on people would even hex or swipe early the health buff adding some considerably strong trading options, health buff allowing some otherwise not likely northshire cleric draw shenanigans, etc…
Its one of those cards that can get out of hand. ESPECIALLY in deathrattle priest where undertaker is a prime target, which would let dark cultist slip by and allow you to play more minions to keep up the tempo or Argus both the dark cultist and a early game minion/a turn later etc.
I don’t underestimate Cultist. It’s a great card which is an auto 2-of in every Priest deck. I’m just saying it’s not going to outright improve the issues I’m having.
And if I COULD play Deathrattle Priest I would. But I’m missing 3 wings of Naxx still.
Sucks that the cultist and chows are so deep into naxx.
I already made the decision to just grind Arena and hope I get some money down the line to just pay for the rest of Naxx. $15 won’t kill me.
Until then I figure, just grind. I’ll probably just play Zoo (or as close to Zoo as I can build at the moment) until I hit higher ranks then go with Priest where the matchups are a bit more stable.
Geez, that was brutal.
Grinded for 11 Wins with Zoo, finally got it. I was doing well for a while…until the clock struck Midnight. Then I lost 4 straight and found every new way to lose. Once it hit 1 AM I got the last win I needed.
Not playing Arena tonight, I recognize that I’m pretty much on tilt.
The lack of win condition in my priest deck does hurt too. I need a good mind control or them unable to handle ysera, or I literally am playing to deck the opponent out through getting the best value for my minio s
Yeah it feels like I’m hoping for Thoughtsteal to go and steal the opponent’s win condition.
And that’s how it feels like Control Priest plays. You control the board hard and then have things like Sylvanas and Thoughtsteal add to your own power cards. It doesn’t actually gain its own win condition until you add things like Ragnaros or TBK to aid your pushes.
Shieldmaiden seems like it would give Miracle Rogue fits. Card is just big enough to eat multiple removal cards, and it is more or less sap-proof.
Confirmed card.
No it won’t instant kill your opponent if they dont have any cards left in your deck. Confirmed by a dev.
What if opponent has more than 3 cards…does that mean they won’t be able to draw any cards (unlike the usual 1 per turn) until they have 2 or less?
Also the charisma of Jeeves may mean I will have to put him somewhere even if he sucks.
Nah, the card effect triggers at the end of the turn. It doesn’t say anywhere on the card that it prevents draws.
Jeeves is an auto-include for the rush Paladin, IMO. It’s like getting two extra Divine Favors, and the opponent will be reluctant to kill Jeeves if they are also a rush-style deck, which gives you the chance to buff up Jeeves for additional annoyance factor.
Jeeves will go well with Divine Favor. Especially if you dump your hand and your opponent is playing conservatively
Going to love seeing this guy in arena when they place this guy right in the middle of 4 other units and i have betrayal in hand.
The foe reaper is gonna take 12 damage and the other 4 takes 6.
Max betrayal value. Hey actually it’d be pretty fucking cool if theres a battlecry card that can reposition minions for stuff like this.
I doubt that’ll work, he’s not like Cobra. “whomever he attacks”, betrayal is “deal its damage to”
I’m surprised that Warlock has the worst Arena 12 Win %
