Deathrattle Priest is more stable than Deathrattle Shaman I feel, due to the hero power giving it more stickiness on the board. Additionally, Cabal Shadow Priest gives them a lot of potential swing value.
Never will I pick Deathlord in the arena again. Venture Co mercenary one game, Savannah high mane another, ragnaros another, boulderfist ogre another. Just a coincidence, but pulling a heavy hitter in the early game is absolutely brutal.
My new take on deathlord is to never play him until I can handle the repercussions. So if I have a fire ball or sheep in hand, I’ll give it a go. Otherwise, I never ever play it on a curve.
Got a mage run to 10 wins, really helping out my average wins/run. Lost to a shaman with 3 fire elementals, ysera, and alkir. I’m not even mad. Just hung in there as long as I could.
Yes, I got Cairne and Kel’Thuzad in arena. Also: 2 cultists, 2 Temple Enforcers, a Power Word: Shield, and a Lightspawn that got every one of those buffs a game ago.
Oh, and I have 7 deathrattles for that Undertaker. I actually took him last.
It was 6-3, and it was 4 polymorphs. Started 6-1, then ran into two mages in a row that kept topdecking ridiculous answers, and I never got to my good cards on time. Kel’Thuzad on an empty board is pretty wack.
I have a small priest deck going right now that’s 4-1. 3 harvest golem, 3 dark cultist, but only 2 late game threats. Mind control is ridiculous in arena though, it’s won me two games. MC’d a rag vs a druid and a deathwing vs a priest at fatigue already.
I fear in never actually going to play constructed, because I’m too indecisive crafting cards. Sitting on 4.3k dust.
I’m already thinking about DEing the gold Thalnos. I’ve never understood exactly why that card is considered so good.
Yes, it gives you spellpower at only 2 cost, and yes, it gives you a card draw when it dies, which is a good combination value of value. But it also has a 1/1 body, which is really weak, meaning it pretty much immediately dies to anything without killing anything. Compared it to cards with similar functions: a Kobold Geomancer is a 2 cost 2/2 with spell power, but no card draw. As a 2/2, it’s at least capable of trading with a lot of popular small cards, whereas Thalnos will never trade with anything meaningful and dies immediately. Loot Hoarder can trade up and gives you the same deathrattle. Plus, you can have two of each.
I guess it just seems like a good card and not a game-changing card, and 1600 dust could get me an actual game-changing card. But I can’t say that with confidence. I just feel like I’m missing something.
Yup. Playing thalnos + swipe and then basically replacing that card with a card draw next turn gets you good value. I always wanted to have one in my collection
But since it’s a golden card you can disenchant it and replace it with whatever legendary you think you’d need more
