I think because most of us TAP and then dash punch after to build meter, seems natural to hold those kicks down on the last punch
Yeah I used to do that too until I found out it was more logical to go with ru, tap, ru after the ultra so I now hold 3P at the fifth hit to charge for the tap. Even more logical would be holding 3K then dash, tap, dash, but I find it easier to charge tap with index, middle and ring finger and using my thumb for the ru.

Guys, how do you get Balrogs Ultra to hit after Headbutt? I only get one hit after Headbutt, anyone care to explain?
If you hold P only the first hit will juggle. To get maximum hits either juggle with PPKKK or KPKKK. Some characters the maximum damage is done by holding KKKKK but you have to do it midscreen (some chars work in the corner too) and activate it early and the 4th hit won’t juggle.

Anyone else who isn’t replying with a stupid comment care to explain why I can headbutt and only get the first hit of the Ultra? Is it my timing of is it how there body is falling before I hit my Ultra?
I got my u1 to hit on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, the 4th whiffed and the 5th hit. sometimes it’s 1, 2, 4 and 5. And a lot of times it’s only the first hit and that’s it. Is it character specific or the timing of their body after falling?

So I just started using Balrog and I still can’t seem to hit the U1 after the Headbutt after reading this thread.
Are there any videos showing someone’s hand doing the combo?
Just a quick question. When juggling Honda with Ultra 1 after a headbutt with kpkkk, the last hit always seemed to whiff… Is there any pattern that can get 4 punches on Honda instead of 3? Also, does this happen with any other members of the SSf4 cast?

Not sure if this has been discussed here, but the key to getting max damage on a juggle ultra is to have the last hit connect with the opponent as low as possible in the air. Usually, this can be achieved by having the second to last hit whiff. There’s no guaranteed p/k combo for every situation, but you can kinda feel it out based on how high in the air the opponent is when you activate ultra and weather of not they’re in the corner.
KKKKK works kinda consistently. The first 3 K will push the opponent far enough up that the 4th whiffs and you get all the hits from the 5th. If they’re too low though when you activate, the 4th K will hit on the very tip and the 5th hit will whiff.
You kinda have to just watch them and adjust between P/K to keep them at the perfect hight so the second to last hit whiffs.
