First to 2 matches, 3 rounds setting (to clarify, you need to win 2 rounds to win the match).
At the moment, it looks like Akuma is allowed.
The participants’ names are actually their PSN IDs. Once you know who your opponent is, it is your responsibility to contact them through PSN (add them as friends, or send them a PSN message, or invite them to a chat session) and arrange a mutually convenient time to play. Tournament starts Friday, May 15th at 9PM EST. You have until Monday, May 18th at 9PM to play your first round match. If your opponent is a no-show, you automatically advance to the next round. Once all first round matches are completed, you should be able to tell who your next opponent is from the updated bracket.
If you’ve completed your first round match before Monday, May 18th, and your next opponent is available to play, you can go ahead and play them. We will not have a losers’ bracket except for semi-finalists so we can determine who gets 3rd rank.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly and we should have a winner by Friday, May 22nd at 11PM EST.
There’s still space for 8 more people so if you want to participate, let me know right away.
No need for an IRC channel because this tournament will last a week. IRC channels are appropriate when it’s a one day tournament. When you’ve won, you send me a message on PSN and report the result to me so I can update the bracket. BTW, I just realized that we’re both from BC.
vestax hit me up on that psn! Sorry, I deleted you awhile back because my friends list was getting too big (thats what she said) but I just re-added you. HOLLA!
Haha no wonder I haven’t seen you online Mr. Popular. I’ll be on after I get off work. Hopefully I can squeeze in a game before the wifey gets home LOL…
He did contact me and tell me. Generally speaking, what would happen is he moves to the next round after beating you, then his opponent wins by default. That being said, since this is not a competitive tournament per se (it’s a reunion tournament for old times’ sake) you can have his spot. I’ll update the bracket to reflect that.
