I’d like to remind everyone, though perhaps I don’t need to, that this “mini” tournament is based on a certain level of self-regulation: if something should happen (remember Murphy’s Law) like the room dying, no need to freak out and try to find me. Use your discretion AND judgment to find a solution. Keep count! You have plenty of witnesses so there should be no dispute as to who beat whom. If a room dies on you, just start another one. Remember to create a chat session and invite ONLY the members of each of the 2 teams. It’ll be better to keep track of what’s happening that way.
PSN has been acting up lately, so if the room crashes after one fight, that fight counts and you can move on to the next in a new room. In other words, you do not have to have all 6 members present to witness the fight for the result to count. I’m assuming that everyone understands the concept of fair play (not to be confused with foreplay) which is why I’m counting on all participants to self regulate.

Unless there are any last minute changes it looks like it’ll be single-elimination. Hopefully things will go smoothly enough to warrant a second tournament. If it works we can try having more teams, losers’ bracket etc. With PSN/hdr rooms I just don’t know…
That’s correct. It’s single elimination. Don’t forget that there are only 8 teams in this tournament. We will leave the double elimination stuff for future, bigger tournaments.
GGs to PSS. T3R and I had our work cut out for us since we were down a man, but you guys stepped up to the plate. Congrats to Longshots for winning the tourney. What happened with Old School? Thought they would’ve won it for sure.
Congratulations to Longshots for winning the tournament and to 2 turtles & Ryu for making it to the final. I heard PSN gave you some trouble. Believe me, you weren’t the only victims. But at least, people were able to improvise and get things done. Thanks to everyone who participated.
Hopefully next time we can make it bigger, with 16 or even 32 teams. Sounds optimistic, but a lot of people are coming back to HDR and we gotta keep them interested. I have more licensing exams coming up in the next few weeks, so I’m gonna have to go into hibernation again. Hopefully, someone else will take the initiative and start putting together more tournaments at least once a month.
I’ll be around when I need a break so hopefully I’ll catch some of you online for a few games.

2nd shout out to our Newly Formed Rival Team (1 Turtle, a Rog and no Ryu): **TecmoSuperBowl, sait0uski **and sOcK_U_uP who advanced up the bracket from us. Tecmo was on point in this room! He was the last man for his team and took every matchup to the wire and managed to overthrow me and TOS. They took that same momentum to the Finals. Props to Tec and his team on that!
Congratulations to Team Longshot, who made a solid acquisition by obtaining Voltech, for winning this tourney. Overall, this entire tourney was full of surprises. Good stuff!
