I don’t know if this counts as a bug or glitch, but for some reason I can’t quit during certain ‘Quick Match’ games. You know after a match when you get the tally screen? Then you have to press X and then you are given the option to play again (X), or quit (O). For some reason, even if I don’t press anything at the tally screen, as soon as my opponent decides to play again, I am taken to the character select screen. What’s bad about this is that I can’t quit unless my opponent does. The only way that I was able to quit was by just sitting there during a match to give my opponent the hint that I was not playing (did not have a mic). Otherwise I would have had to disconnect.
Am I missing something? At first I thought it was my stick, but it only happens sometimes… Does it have to do with who is the Host (|H|)?
I think OP is trying to avoid having the stigma of having dropped on someone.I just had this happen to me myself.I usually play until i do get the opprotunity to quit, then i do so.
He’s not talking about quick match, as in ranked quick match, but friendly matches where you’re in a room and after the fight it shows the character usage, win/ratios, etc.
What I do is hit X as soon as I see the stats screen, and then O followed by X REALLY QUICKLY to exit. O to quit and X to confirm quitting the friendly to go back to the lobby. This works about 90% of the time. The other 10% is when the opponent is just spamming X and doesn’t let me quit.
I think all players should be aware that they should pause at the stats screen and the room screen instead of just spamming X, so that the other player has enough time to quit.
You’re right about that. Even if I could quit during a match, it’s something that I don’t condone.
Yeah right now I’m also just mashing my way out. While I agree that all players should be respectful, it’s still not a valid solution. CapCom should address this somehow.
ill just quit mid-match if i dont want to play anymore – there’s no easy way to do it since the lobby screen will either never come up at all, or will go so fast when my opponent decides he wants to play again.
