HBFS-30 New Color Release~All New Arcade Button~Update: 05/10/2014

Dear @Homeless:
The Optical Stick Kit was developed by our experts; Our Optical Stick Kit and ROLLIE FLASH are similar in appearances, but different in detail.
We improved the circuit configuration, try to simplify the technical requirements of the installation.
Also improved the force feedback of spring, more responsive.
We hope to make the players can DIY Optical Stick Kit, without complicated circuit modification is our objective.

We got HBFS30& HBFS24’s testing samples.
Although has not polished modification.
But still looks fantastic.

I’m really just looking for an optical replacement for my TP-MA that feels about the same. Is there an estimate that you can give me on how similar it will feel?

Dear Homeless:
In short,
Just like the TP-MA without Click Tactile Feel.
You can simulate the feelings yourself; demolition TP-MA from your SANWA JLF-TP-8YT, and still install up SANWA GT-8F 4/8-WAY RESTRICTOR PLATE.
Then you spin the ball stick, It’s almost the same feeling as Optical stick.
Because without Click Tactile Feel, spin ball stick is very quiet.

I think what he means to say is remove the TP-MA (microswitch PCB) from the JLF and put the restrictor gate back on.

Sounds good to me. Let me know if you need any beta testers :slight_smile:

I’ll double that for the 24’s. I am the stress test machine, I hit my buttons so hard I knock the screws out of my Hit Box.

That case has caught my eye…

Any information on the optical stick release date or technical specifications?

~Paik

Preordered the hell out of those 24’s. Can’t wait.

Sent in my order. The original HBFS-30s have turned into some of my favourite buttons despite their flaws.

EXCELLENT!!! Now I just have to decide my order ratio…

Can someone give those of us not in on the first edition a run down of the different microswitches? Apparently the blue are most like Sanwas but the reds are the most quiet?

Reds are more sensitive than Sanwa and don’t have a click tactile feel to them. Blues are a little less sensitive and DO feature a click tactile feel to them. The Blacks would be more comparable to Seimitsu buttons, smooth button press with no click but higher activation force. And finally, the Browns with an in between activation force of the Blues and Blacks with a sort of tactile feel to them. In order of most sensitive to least sensitive:

Red > Blue > Brown > Black

Can we preorder microswitches too? Or do you have to buy another set of buttons for different microswitches?

@RoBoBOBR:
Thank you, this is a great suggestion.
Because Cherry MX micro switch is very sought after, it is difficult to obtain additional quantity at any time from the Cherry Corporation.
I must ensure that each button has the switch, so I can not provide additional switch package now.
But I would increase the micro switch to store items in the future, when I get enough supply.

Is it feasible to perform the “slide” technique on these buttons? I do this on Sanwa OBSF-30 very often (I use Honda in AE)… I recall it’s not practical on Seimitsu buttons. If so, preferrably using the cherry MX red microswitches?

I got my preorder done…15 buttons for my hitbox…I can’t wait to get them

@ShinMagus:
I did some tests.
HBFS-30 has fast response, so it’s easy to use “slide technique”.(I’m test with redstem)
