Clear came up yesterday and i must say i love the feeling and the sound. Girlfriend was impressed and i can now safely play at night without worries.
Red switches are really soft.
Only one problem, i ordered one set of Red Switch and one set of Blue, but i came with Red and black
Clears are here and installed, I love these buttons. The installation wasnāt as bad as iāve heard, but I still preceded with caution. They are pretty quite and they feel great. I think the red switch is the default one and its just a blast to play with these buttons. They were worth the wait, but I want to see how they fair in the long run.
Sorry for asking a stupid question, but the website isnāt entirely clear (excuse the pun) - are the clear buttons entirely transparent, or are they the ones with the transparent rims and āsmokedā black plungers?
After messing up with my news HBSF-30 i must say i like playing with them.
Currently with red switches, the feeling is nice, the longer course doesnāt matter at all and the sound is really awesome.
the only drawback is the system made for quick connect, which is not really effective, making the installation process longer and tedious, and iām afraid some will go off while playing.
I got mine yesterday. That install is annoying. The soft prongs, not a fan at all. Protip, do NOT try to slide the quick connects onto a āfullā button. Slide on the quick connects onto the adapter first, THEN put the adapter on the mounted button.
Performance-wise, Iām not seeing any ābenefitā over Sanwa. They are very comparable in that regard (imho). However, the beauty is in the purposely designed āsilenceā of them. Lack of noise makes a HUGE difference when playing. Iāll see how well they hold up after time. First night out though, I am impressed. And for those wondering about the non-circular base, you wonāt notice during gameplay.
Got mine yesterday. They sent red and black switches when I think I requested brown and blue, but oh well. The blackās seem ok. Probably not going to install them until I sell my old sticks and get an Eightarc, especially since swapping buttons sucks on the stupid TE-S.
Are you putting in the empty rim without the button in it? I noticed the button will tend to block the tabs from pressing in, so it canāt go in like that. The buttons have no problem sliding into the rims once locked into a case. I messed with one button for a test, and getting it in was not so hard after doing this. Getting it out on the other hand, was a pain, so Iām not installing these into a stick I plan to take them out of laterā¦
