I might have missed this, but how do we get in on this?
I had initially planned to post my thoughts on the installation process of the HBFS buttons, but my experience was fairly similar to the orcitech’s. The pins on the cherry switches are extremely soft. I followed the instructions on the guide, but I think it might actually be best to pre-build the buttons before shoving them into the stick.
I just got mine today. I haven’t put them in my stick just yet because I’ve been meaning to redo the art on my TE anyway, and having to open it up to put the buttons in is the perfect excuse to do the art first. I got a pack of 8 buttons, 16 switches. 8 red and 8 brown on the switch types. I have to say I’m really impressed with the packaging, and everything seems solidly made. The only complaint is, as earlier guys have said, the cherry switch pins are really tiny and easily bent. That’s just part of the cherry switch design though I think, rather than a problem with these buttons as a package. As long as you’re careful they should be fine.
The buttons are really amazingly quiet, much moreso than I expected. I’ll be putting them in my stick and going to casuals on sunday, I think I’m going to use 6 red switches in my main buttons, and then on the last 2 buttons have one brown switch and one sanwa, just so people can compare
I put them in as you would a normal button, assembled. I think if it was possible to put the adaptors onto the switch and THEN pass them through the button, into place, that may make it less fiddly… They seemed much easier to put on when I wasn’t fiddling inside the case of a stick! I also noticed that the adaptor without the metal pins (for the keychain button) Went on and off much easier so I think it’s just a case of tolerances really.

I just received my set today and I have to agree with orcitect. Very professional, from the boxing to the “remove before fight” stickers placed on each button.
However, maybe I’m having a bit of trouble trying to replace my keyswitches. I’m looking at the remove manual and the picture doesn’t match up with the physical button and in fact, it looks like the pre-packaged keyswitches are on the wrong way. Did anyone else run into this sort of problem?
I’m late. Been away too much to keep track and forgot to support during the kickstarter end timeframe. How can I get some. I has money. <3
I had some of the keyswitches mounted the wrong way in my premade buttons as well. I just gently pushed them out and put them back in the proper way, it didn’t seem to cause any damage, though I’m sure it would if you pushed them out that way consistently. I used the small indented circle on the one side to figure out which way to put them in properly
I ended up doing the same thing you did, Kamano. It’s not a huge issue, but it’s a bit irritating. Also, I can’t wait for the replacement adaptor sockets to get here. The current ones keeping popping out and they’re driving me crazy.
I am one of the five who donated $350+. I figured since my package was 100 buttons and a buttload of extra microswitches, it would be one of the last ones to ship out.

Also surprised that I still got the fancy packaging. Thought that would’ve been prohibitively expensive with an order of this size.
Each of the boxes has slightly different contents. Makes sense to not try to divide them all up evenly.

I play on a hitbox so these buttons aren’t useful to me, I’ll likely end up donating them to GameCenter and to any friends in need of buttons lol.
I hope anyone who was curious as to what the $350 donators received has had their curiosity sated.

I did the donation thing and still haven’t received my black buttons. Sure hope they arrive soon.
Received…but i my order was jacked up. Got reds instead of browns and no clear. Got black. Sad and upset panda.
There isn’t any option for switches though 
You can put your request in the comments for the switch type you would like.[S] you only get to pick one though.[/S] I should say you wont get any extra switches.
Could someone do a video overview on the buttons? I’m quite curious on how they are installed too…
