Hayato Teams

I Like hayato/sent/ironman…

I was messing around with hayato’s hp throw, and if you call ironman and immediately throw after it does crazy damage, it also leaves you enough time
to add qcf+KK super. (it does insane damage)

Im also thinking about trying hayato/sent/cyclops…

Any combo with hayato into his super and DHC’d into sentinals drone super
is pretty much dead character. (and or Im proton cannon)

Does anybody strats or inputs on how hayato should be played?

I like him with ruby. They seem to do well together. Tron is always a good assist for anybody. Jin/Doom is good too. Ironman is pretty fun.

Spiral or Tron ALWAYS seem to be on my hayato teams now. Spiral’s arms definitely give hayato more time to setup plasma combos than trons projectile.

Hayato to me is alll about setting up a launch -> aircombo then using the mixup of either coming down into an overhead, low attack, or his unblockable cmd throw… it’s tricky to always come down in cmd grab range… but using this mixup a launch can lead to solo 75% midscreen or solo 100% in the corner.

Hayato can get a launch out of his plasma combo as well as increase the dmg… so any assist that helps land it will be nice. Psy is also great as an AAA + she will get you more launches. psy AAA hit -> d,df,f+kk is a good assist punish also.

Hayato/Thanos/Sentinel

Hayato’s speed is kinda slow, in which his commands are slower than others (weird for Capcom) To protect his slow speed, use Sentinel drones so it can allow you to be more aggresive (someone else mentioned that already) Jumping in with d+hk w/Sentinel, to keep the opponent preoccupied with blocking. Sometimes that can open up openings for cr.lk start-ups into air combos. Thanos capture can connect from Hayato plamsa combos or a simple 1-2 slashing combo. Playing Hayato takes patience, and a understanding of when to attack and when not to. He has pretty bad lag with his moves, but they can also be deceptive. This team is overall a slow team, and lack mobility, so you have to practice on safe combos, attacks etc.
