Chrono trigger has been ported so many times, its giving Tetris a run for its money.
But anyway, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom is hella fun. Even better with the classic controller. Even even better with a stick. Hey jeff, what was on that voicemail, i couldnt understand it.
Btw, man, my job sucks now lol. I been doing 8-11 hour shifts with no breaks cause of all the damn people. Making it not fun to talk about video games, especially when its the same convo over and over.
Chrono Trigger has only been ported once previously - on PSX. That version had a handful of nice animated cutscenes, but was actually inferior to the SNES version because it had absurd load times for EVERYTHING, even going into your menu.
This would be the second port, and the only one since the PSX one released. Besides Chrono Cross, which was a separate game entirely, there hasn’t been anything involved with Chrono Trigger for years. Tetris comes out for most consoles at least once, in some way, shape, or form. You definitely can’t say that about Chrono Trigger, besides being emulated on a bunch of different platforms, but that doesn’t count.
Since we were talking about SNES games, anyone played a fighting game where you could cut off the opponents arms and stuff. IIRC one of the characters was a praying mantis. And some big muscle dude with an axe. This game just popped out of my memory, and I can’t figure out the name.

Rep system got reset and tweaked a little so people stop rep whoring so much. Supposedly there is a “surprise” for people who rep whore too much. No idea what it is yet, but I don’t think I will bother with it.

Ducky: Is FF still the place to play Tekken 6? Did Pearlridge Tilt add in more rounds and/or drop the price to play yet?

Pretty much every FF has T6 now. Everyone just plays at Pearlridge FF for the most part. Tilt lost the customer base. It’s cheaper at Tilt but no one is there and the rounds still haven’t changed, IIRC. One of the more dedicated Tekken players works at Pearlridge Tilt but plays at Pearlridge FF, if that says anything. Cards are cheaper at FF too - it’s $10 over at Tilt, only $6 at FF. People also play at Kam and Market City FF’s, but I don’t know how frequently.
Yeah I saw the one at Kam. When I went there, no one was playing it. They have the same cabinet style too. On my way home, I’ll check it out again to see if there are any familiar faces there playing the game. Otherwise it’ll be Pearlridge as the place to be for now.
There are a few players that go to play at Kam, but only after checking out Pearlridge. Same with Market City, they go there after checking out Pearlridge. Let me know if you want to get some games in, I’ll probably be playing at Pearlridge this weekend. I’m actually going to drive up to the Mililani FF to see if anyone plays there. If they don’t, no biggies… I can practice my electrics! Barcodius is a witness! BUSTING OUT JIN’S EWGF ON ALL THEM BITCHES!
This gives me a reason to go to Pearlridge/Millilani FF. I should try to play Tekken competitively. Gonna play Tekken Tag when I get home.
