OMG! That ‘Ky’ player was probably Machaboo, a top ‘Ky’ player in Japan. I think his gf also plays GG and uses Dizzy IIRC, not really sure though. Right on, at least you damaged him a bit before he took you out, lol. It was the same way when I played against an Ino player named Yossan last year at EVO, bad matchup for my char but I worked for and got 1 round while getting beat the rest of the time.
Now you know the position I’m in regarding matchups and how they are necessary for growth in experience and knowledge. Make the most of this opportunity where playing GG is concerned. Post up with your experiences and what not and good luck in future matches as well.
Oh yeah, I think SBO is this coming weekend. It should be pretty good this year with a US team participating in the event for GG.

The last HVGL gathering I went to had this one passerby dude. He played Arcana Heart for a bit and joined us for some cvs2 and 3s. He was practicing combos with Heart.
Lol Dizzy is blocked by the punch button and May is blocked by a button that is almost never used.
Most of the characters behind the buttons, I have never chosen to play them so that’s why they are there (May, Axl, Dizzy, Baiken). All the characters who I do play or tried to play are front or to the left (2 Sols, ABA, Testament, 2 Kys, Millia, Venom, etc.) I do play Capcom games also which is why I went with the standard 6 button layout. Not a bad price either. Hahano charged me $140 which isn’t much more than a HRAP2. In fact, I have a brand new in box HRAP2 still in my closet which I’ll probably just save for now. Or if someone wanna trade straight up for a new HRAP3?
Needle knife is new to the HVGL. It was his first time. Hes an SRK’er from chicago who moved the honolulu. Good player, i dont know if he plays GG though.
ahh i’m done with guilty gear. gonna be in vietnam for work for awhile so i’m finished with it. i learned a lot in japan though, if i ever play ya’ll again you better watch out, haha.
