This is my first time putting in a new joystick in my Madcatz Standard Edition and I notice that when I tighten the screw that keeps the ball top in it won’t move. If I leave it almost as tight as it can go I have problems hitting diagonals (1, 3, 9 and 7) and if I leave in loose enough where it is easy to hit diagonals the ball top will fall off. When I tried putting the old crappy joystick that comes with the Standard Edition, it still moved when I tightened it all the way.
I figured it out by myself. My plastic shaft cover was longer then the new shaft.
