I got bored so I made a pointless corner swag combo on Parasoul.
cr. mp, cr. mk, st. hp (2 hits), qcf+lk, cr. lp, cr. mp, cr. mk, st. hp (2 hits), qcf+lk, cr. lk, cr. mp, cr. mk, st. hk, qcf+lk, st. mp, st. mk (SJC) j. lp, j. mp, ADC, j. mp, j. hp, (land) st. lk, st. mp, st. mk, Excellebella assist, qcb+lp (hold) qcf+pp, (release), qcf+pp. (If timed right your OTG hasn’t be used yet.) DHC qcf+pp (Cerebella), cr. lk, cr. mk, j. mp, j. hk, st. mp (stagger), qcf+throw, qcf+pp, DHC qcf+pp. Uses all 5 metres. 15240 damage on 1.00 damage ratio.

Just did some Peacock item drop combos and it looks like it’ll never push the enemy away after the kick if you start your string differently.

I did it about 30 times in a row alternating between cr.lk hp, hk and lp, mp, hk. It never pushed the enemy back once. So I’m guessing you’ll be safe as long as you alternate.

Something interesting about this. If you don’t try to go for the overhead and instead do …st.hp(1), qcb.hp, qcf.hpx3, it does more in chip than if you had completed the combo. ~4350 combo damage + 450 in chip.

Edit: After testing it, I realized there’s a small hole where assists can be called. A runaround to that is changing the last bit to st.lp, st.mk, qcf.lk, qcf,hpx3. ~100 less combo damage, but 50 more chip.

I don’t think this was mentioned yet… In the corner, you can cancel throw into George’s Day Out and continue off a st.lp without using an item drop or Argus.

EDIT: Only works on Double, Valentine, and Cerebella. :frowning:

Okay, I keep hearing *from non-Peacock players *that you can do throw xx SID xx AA or throw xx GDO xx AA. No Peacock player I’ve seen has actually done this and none have been able to do it upon request. After spending an hour or so in training mode, I’m convinced that it’s impossible (the opponent becomes invincible well before the projectile in question would be summoned, so a properly timed super would kara-cancel and neither the item drop nor the george would come out). Is this an actual thing? Is it actually possible?

I’d have to hit the lab to see if I can myself, but I’ve gotten triple Arguses using that sequence replacing throw with whatever combo ender I chose.

What are those abbreviations suppose to be?

SID = Shadow of Impending Doom (qcb.p)
GDO = George’s Day Out (qcf.lk)
AA = Argus Agony (qcf.pp)

Oh, I posted it too quickly. I figured it out a second after I posted it. You can combo an Argus Agony from a throw and a George, but no shadow or. You can only combo george near the wall. For Filia and Peacock I think you have to be further from the wall than everyone else to combo off of them. You can even chain an argus agony afterward if you time it right.

That kind of defeats the purpose. It’s nigh trivial to do it after charlie brown kick. I was really just curious about post-throw.

Has anyone else noticed that chaining BANG! into Argus consistently does more damage (how much exactly is highly variable) than Bang Bang Bang! into Argus?

Guess it has to do with OTG hitboxes taking more of the hits, or the OTG bounce sending into a more optimal position.

This is a combo I do, since I am god awful and just got the game, it’s easy and does around 5000 damage.

lp, lp, lk, mp, hp(2), qcf hp (3), qcf pp

I know it’s not impressive, but it’s extremely easy. You can tell because I can even do it.

It’s also better for ending combos, if you don’t have the meter for Argus. It’s a hard knockdown and has enough advantage to let you set stuff up, as opposed to BBB!, which leaves you about neutral.

Just a couple of things that can be done from j.hk. For the first one, you have a small window to get it. Too early and it’ll combo, triggering the IPS. Too late and it won’t come out.

if you’re already holding an item drop you can definitely get a combo off a throw. i haven’t tried to do it raw off a throw though.

You can do it from a throw, but the timing is tight.

Yeah, I found out last night that it’s apparently possible (and slightly easier if you have 2P mapped to a button). The only thing more frustrating than finding out something can’t work is finding out that it can work but it’s like a 1 frame link or some shit. Not the George version, though. Just the Item Drop.

Are there any good combos that work off a Double assist? IPS kicks in after the airdash in the BnB.

You misunderstand. I’m saying that it should be possible given the circumstances (ending in a special cancelable move). The recovery on the throw is when you’d have to SIDxxArgus nearly identical to how you have to time it ending a combo in s.HP(first hit only).

I’d say the timing on the throw is tighter than off of s.hp. Then again, I had a hell of a time getting it to come out in the above combo. Kept cancelling it into Argus too early.

I kept doing the same thing with the throwxxsidxxargus. I’d see the whistle but only get the argus.
Seems I got it most frequently when I tried to buffer it into the final stomp.
