I’d be more accepting of this if the main character wasn’t some emo twat’s wet dream.
I’d rather it be the type of person who would really go on a mass murdering spree, some middle aged weirdo going through a mental break down or some dumb kid with serious social problems.
That said, this could have been a potentially good Punisher game if you changed LongHair McCutsHimself from the embodiment of try-hard edge to Frank Castle and the generic civilians to mobsters and what not. It’s definitely brutal enough.

Gameplay doesn’t actually look great…looks like the Saw concept, a means to an end, the end being killing people because ‘f#ck it’. On one hand the freedom of expression in me is fine with the game, on the other hand it feels like its making itself specifically to be the keys for some kids to figure out how to do some shit that’s going to get the flag at half mass. I’d rather this game just not get made…last thing we need is ANOTHER tentpole game for people to attack video games with. I think they finally stopped using Doom3 as a rallying point, and the general acceptance of GTAV has limited that one.

People with a hair up their ass about this game need to shut the fuck up and realize it’s just a silly video game. It is no more responsible for real-world hatred and violence any more than DBZ causes people to actually shoot energy beams from their hands.
Maybe I’ll be impressed when somebody makes a Hotline Miami mod for it. Neon and all. That grayscale is so boring. Something my Jr High friend Pascal would probably love though. He was a big metal head obssessed with dread and his older brother took him to Black Mass every couple weeks.
I hope this game has holiday DLC.
