I’ve figured out that Toi’s coffee face really means, “you must first max dmg punish my random ex bird kicks that I do constantly cause I’m scared for my life” before I stop doing them and finally see that its stupid and probably the reason I can’t win ACTUAL lopsided matches in my favor cause mashing 2 random ex birds wont halfway kill the character.

That’s our bad. I didn’t see how the brackets were seeded until the tournament was done. There was a communication error. I told them to seed by skill and location and they were pretty much just not seeded at all (to put it simplistically). I mean, they were seeded… but if you looked at the settings (or actually played in the tournament) they were seeded incorrectly. I’m very sorry about that. It’s one of those things where you give someone instructions and then attend to other things and those instructions are interpreted differently than you expected.
If you use Tio, you’ll understand what I’m talking about. We told it to seed by Skill first (because we had great players coming in and didn’t want them to play each other) while also attempting to seed by location. The problem was that the other T.O. didn’t know relative skill levels so several players didn’t even get seeded based on skill anyway. Not really his fault as he got us to look over the bracket before he made it (problem being that the only people available to check the bracket didn’t exactly know what they were doing…). Also, by telling Tio to ATTEMPT to seed by location, it did a bad job of doing it placing several players that traveled together in 2nd round of winners together. I knew our other T.O. entered location data so I was confused by this until I looked at the settings.
One last thing I’ll mention in that regard: we can’t really help who you play in the Loser’s side of the bracket. You played Joe Shyne in Loser’s on Day 2 right? Well in Day 1, you guys were on opposite sides of the bracket. I believe that in Tio, at every winner’s round the people get either sent to the top of the bracket or to the bottom, so if you would’ve lost in winner’s one game earlier/later you would’ve been sent to the opposite side of the bracket. We try our hardest not to manually adjust the bracket (even in cases of Double Jeopardy or same-region conflicts unless it’s very early in the bracket) so that noone can accuse us of “shady business” with adjusting brackets to make certain players happy.
Anyway, I’m sorry again that you had problems with our bracket. A lot of those problems were our fault and we’ll adjust next time. At previous tournaments we haven’t had this problem. As things get bigger though, we have to change the way we do things to accommodate the quality of players that come in as well as the size of the tournament. With every change, new problems are introduced and I apologize that you guys have had to travel just to deal with them.

Stop apologizing man you guys were awesome. Yall took care of us made sure we all had housing i mean fuck the guy has a wife and a kid and we were still offered a spot at his home. You guys gave free food and beverages ive never seen that before and it was enough for 3rd servings even 4ths . There was booze there was a bit of competition honestly i feel that the tournament was a success and those who have complained about it are just babies. I assure you if John would have beaten me or joe he would not have complained and im not trying to single him out but im just saying anyone who complained about that would not be doing so if they would have won. Thank you for the Hospitality and i assure you I will be back…but this time im bringing my own alcohol…also your cousin is pretty…nice…

Jakob, I just watched our match in top 8. I completely fell apart after that first game. 
I was getting hit and thrown by everything. You can tell I was getting frustrated with the lameness of that matchup, haha. Good game though. You would NOT reversal PC for anything after I punished that first one with ultra. I was trying to bait that so hard, haha. Maybe I was too focused on certain things and not what I needed to be doing. I also noticed I gave you way to much respect on your wake up. I would pressure a little bit but then back off. Any tips on what I should be doing better?
And what’s good on all of that video you guys took at the tournament? If possible, we’d like to get our hands on some of it for future uses.
