Funny, this reminds of that time I went to fgc live and we were chatting about the matches that were happening and you brought up something that resonated with me, you asked me to agree but I reluctantly said “Yeah, just not on those terms”. I don’t know if you remember that but it’s definitely similar to what we encounter on here in our discussions. I want to say we mean the same things but the subtleties in the way each of us explains it just kind of steer the mind in different directions and I just can’t bring myself to give in to entirely because I need to be absolutely certain the words will explain it succinctly in their modest presentation.
It’s like when people say don’t get hit. Cool stuff man!
I don’t remember the exact conversation, but I definitely see your stance on it.
In situations like this, it’s refreshing to have a separate viewpoint since a different perspective prevents us from getting pidgeon-holed into one way of thinking.
well yeah that is what meditating is supposed to be, to clear your mind and allow you to focus and view something you want to do with fresh eyes so to speak. if anyone thinks meditating will increase skill then I’m not sure…but it will allow you to focus on whatever task you may have at hand which in turn may increase skill
also what do you mean new hype beast culture, im interested/curious?
The people that turn those clutch moments for the players into moments for the audience to make a bunch of noise just because they happened to be there when the match got good. That’s only the latest form of it, anyway. But I also mean the culture that surrounds situations like a player winning through some anti-climactic means but still decide to start shouting and yelling like the players just did some insanely incredible and difficult thing when in fact they just tick grabbed.
