Hardest AI

The hardest boss I have ever fought period has to be Ohga from Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer.

Even bosses like Gill and Shin Bison who play tough allow you to screw up every once in awhile.

But not Ohga. He’s the one boss where you CANNOT screw up, PERIOD.

KOF’01 Ignis. How do you beat him? Is it even possible? Original Zero was bad enough, but this guy is just insane. One of the hardest KOF bosses out there IMO, right up there with '94/'95 Rugal and Goenitz.

From my own experience, I can vouch this. I have never meet an AI, except the one in VF4 Evo that can perform 5-way ETEG on a regular spammable basis, like in VF4 Evo. Gotta love Ohsu Akira’s AI on hardest difficulty…

I don’t know if this was discussed, but anybody that says any SNK fighter can’t tell the difference between AI, as being artificial INTELLIGENCE and programmed cheapness. Do you really think that if the KoF / AoF / etc bosses didn’t have a speed boost, power boost, and moves that take up the whole damn screen, you’d have that much of a difficulty with them? Super turbo doesn’t have good AI either, because the game’s just programmed to counter act everything you do. That’s bad programming, and cheapness in bosses, NOT AI.

VF4: EVO has the most realistic AI I’ve ever seen

I’m sorry, but I said ***broken. ***Moves in their roster, highend priority and speed, make them broken. As parse to altergenesis’s quote. Broken. Not extremely, God-like difficult. Orochis are damn faster on everything. Please spell, LWK.

…that went well.

The only sure fire cure for SNK Boss syndrome is spamming Ralf Tackle - it may take you a couple bouts, but you’ll win eventually.

i haven’t played it much but that’s because the AI in VF4:Evo just beats the shit out of me…

ST. I swear T. Hawk is psychic

Fucken eh.

SNK and AI don’t fit in the same sentence. Retarded games.

VF all the way.

Actually VF4:Evo’s A.I. does a shit ton of wake up attacks (rising kicks here and there) and they’re hella baitable so…

VF4evo is probably the game with the best AI currently (can’t say about VF5 for sure) though there might be a totally obscure game even better

and I agree: programmed cheapness/broken abilities is the opposite of a good AI. Proof is usually those ultra cheap bosses have stupid programming vulnerabilities like always reacting the same to the same attack/chain, etc.

Jump over him and see what happens. Igniz is a walk in the park compared to Magaki.

LOL, that can be said about every company, don’t start with the SNK hate. There’s no real AI in any fighting game, period. And SF2 cpu is probably more retarded than all SNK games put together.

Now the real question is: WHY there’s no real AI in fighting games? Is it just hardware limitations or is there any other reason we don’t know? I would love to hear someone from inside the game industry talk about that.

Anything from Midway’s selection of crap is annoying. From Mk’s counter-uppercut uppercuts and otg throws, to the buffoonery in War Gods, it’s all tough, and aggravating.

LOL Magaki is hella easy at the arcades (it’s basically patterns), Try playing Igniz on highest difficulty, WITHOUT using Foxy or Heidern.

MSHvSF: Cyber Akuma
or
SvC Chaos: Athena

Try beating both of them w/o infinite supers, next to impossible.

Johann.

Thank you, and goodnight.

Learn how to crouch.

If you crouch she might might do the chicken super.
Which is always confusing because you have to be ready for an onslaught of supers.

The OP is not asking which game has the best AI, he asking the HARDEST. And of the fighters, Super Turbo (and Anniversary Edition) has the Hardest (and most retarded) AI that I have ever seen.

Those AIs are complete mind readers, the charge characters are fucking hard because they do every single technique without fucking charging. DJ sucks, his Uppercut technique or whatever can do like 50% of damage. Fei Long is horrible. Zangief is ridiculous, he will do Screw piledrive at ANYTHING you do. Low kick, piledriver. Punch, piledriver. Take a dump, piledriver. He will not block your attack, he will fucking grab you because he already knows what attack is coming.
