White dudes are more acceptable to their parents. If they go Asian, it usually has to be someone from the same background, so it’s much easier just to go white.
To add to that, white dudes realized their power to pickup any ethnicity they want. Spend a day in Manhattan, you’ll see Asian women with more white dudes than anything.
You are right about Manhattan, but i still ask “why” with your first sentence. Some people told me that asians, especially SE Asians have what you call colonial mentality and the white man has always been the “symbol” of rich and power… but that is an assumption. I had about some asian friends who ended up dating a white man but eventually broke up with him after finding out he was a jew.
What about white chicks and asian men by the way? The only asian men i’ve seen successful with different races are filipinos, but they don’t really count as fully asian in my point of view.
Filipino dudes clean up for real. I think it’s cause they tend to have a little more personality and swag than other Asians. I know a few hood ones in North Jersey that stay with bad women.
But yea, parents assume that white guys have more money and in general are more socially acceptable, so if their daughter isn’t marrying one of their own, a white dude does just fine.
I’ve always viewed Filipinos as half asian half hispanic. Which is a cool bland, IMO. I’ve been to some Filipino parties and traveled to Manila myself, their whole personality/culture is probably 90% hispanic-like which is probably the reason why they got more swag with women compared to other asians. My Filipino friend claims that one of their positive factors is that they do not suffer the negative asian stereo types (tiny penises, the whole “ching chong” derogatory lines, yellow skin, noodles… etc). They are more liked by non asians than the most, but they are seriously looked down on by other asians. I heard Asian parents (such as native chinese) will forbid their daughters from dating a Filipino male out of any race.
What kind of Asian? I’ve found that (for lack of a better word) minority Asians are way more open about dating black dudes than say Chinese, Korean or Japanese. I’m guessing Filipino and Malay?

Honestly from what I can tell from my time there in the San Diego area all of them. My boy who lives there is married to a Japanese chic who he met while in the navy. He said a bunch of the relationships that he knows start with a military connection but there is something about SoCal Asians that just mess with black dudes pretty much exclusively. More there then I seen anywhere else I have been.
It could be more of just the SoCal culture being more influential then any racial culture stereotypes
