Saw that today. Do you think it’s possible that Power Stone 2 be one of the games considered? Or will it strictly be Sega games they made for DC?

Double post
^wut does mortal kombat have to do anything about this? unless you meant to link this instead: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/10/dreamcast-returns-on-psn-and-xbla-this-year/
Do the dreamcast fighters like Powerstone and Project Justice Rival Schools II have any chance of becoming tournament worthy games in this day and age?I was playing Rival Schools the other day and it seemed to have a good amount of depth and good presentation/fun to it but I wondered why it never took off?
They might have a chance if they end up on PSN/XBLA. Sega has already announced they’re bringing Sonic Adventure 1 and Crazy Taxi with the intention they want to bring more. Def would play Project Justice/Power stone series a lot more if they get XBLA ports (so i can use my stick)
I think rereleasing those games is a bit different from putting crazy taxi and sonic on XBL.I reckon most Sega games will get rereleased but Capcom DC games are a different story when it comes to licensing etc.
True, but maybe seeing some DC games getting released doing well might give capcom enough intensive to do a quick port. better than nuttin anyway.
There is a high chance Power Stone may be released on Live/PSN seeing as how PS was on sega’s golden list meaning games that sold well…
online play would be a bonus…and then id come…everywhere
lol @ people tiering this.
Good characters - inescapable specials
Bad characters - escapable specials
Power Stone is one of my favorite games and I’d love to see it make a big comeback. Some characters actually have some surprisingly nasty stuff at their disposal.
I could’ve sworn Power Stone Collection was on PSN last year…
EDIT: http://i36.tinypic.com/jjr08y.jpg
Ah, this is what was released last year, nvr mind
PS1’s engine was more solid. They took away moves in 2.
2 was a much better multiplayer experience tho. Too many duplicate weapons tho. Mixing was fun.
Did this happen?
holy time warp batman…to answer the question…no
tech had the game but we all forgot to play…>.>…ill ask this year for FR 15…ended up on project justice instead
Oh well. Project Justice is cool too. I will continue to squirm across the ugly depths of the internet to find power stone information.
@Giza
good luck with that. i have been combing the 'net a few years now for Rival Schools/Project Justice, Techromancer, Power Stone1+2, Spawn : In The Devil’s Hand and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure among others [well, basically ALL the awesome games that came out during the Dreamcast era and onwards] for info and related media that i can find. aside from a few retro games-centric sites, most of the “official” game sites are defunct or very blah.
oh, and the Virtual-On series seems like it could use a revival as well.
peace out.

lol dammit. That makes me feel like I am not going to find anything.
I have yet to find better matches than the recent ones on my channel. That saddens me.
that makes us the two best power stone players in the world, and no one has any evidence to prove otherwise lol.
its lonely at the top lol.
reposting the set here cuz there seems to be 3 power stone threads on srk now.

only 50% true statement… some characters base forms are really good even if they have an escapeable super. some escapeable supers are really good. see video posted above.
Ryoma is the best character in the game? News to me.
