I think Gourmand’s special can be avoided by Ayame. His special can also be knocked out getting something throw at, or shot at with the bubble gum if you are in that range and brave enough to do so. Wang Tang can Hadoken him out of the special too if you are both powered up.
Ayame I think has the best special in the game and has the best escape abilties. IMO she is slightly the best of the character. She’s got lots of little dirty tricks.
I want to play some PS 1 PS 2 isn’t as good imo. But Ps1 was acutally a decent fighting game. They need to release the collection for ps3 as well as psp.

I hate Wang Tong. Nothing is aspire about him and no flaws. Well except DBZ lawsuite for copyright of design.
I love Julia but is she practical in PS2? I never go to use her in PS1. But she was just so lovly and graceful.
Julia might not be top tier, but she is fun and can be dangerous in the right hand. She is prob better if you play a team mode than if it was a battle royal situation.
Impaling then hitting them with Merry Go Round special is one of the most damaging specials in the game. Her Umbrella run away tactics can be tricky too. Certain stages is also more beneficial to her.
Well I wouldn’t want her to be Top tier. I would rather rush and punish with her. (doesn’t understand PS series meta game)
I believe the PlayStation store had Power Stone Collection for PS3 like a few months. It should still be there
keo-bas, Power Stone metagame revolves around jumping around, using items, collecting Power Stones, and not getting hit. This obviously differs per character (Julia versus Falcon for example) but the basis remains the same
I guess that’s understandable but I feel their a strong edge of another play style. Like lets look at the teirs for the moment.
Wang just good because his design is just well suited for this game. So what makes Wang so great in this game that other character with same design treatment aren’t as great. Its true that tiers is subjective matter but it seems very apparantlyt that Wang is very good. I think by study why he is so good can help understand the meta game depth
You have to look at just that, the design of the respective character. For example, Ayame and Falcon have freaking double jumps, which are so good. Julia has a great pounce, doubled with the umbrella slowfall. But she has slow running speed. She can’t cover ground nearly as fast as Falcon and Ayame. Not to mention Ayame and Falcon have faster melee attacks than her. Her only true saving grace is to transform and use her special attack and Power Fusions.
As for Wang Tang, honestly he’s just annoying. He has a decent balance of speed and power. On top of that, his transformation special is very hard to avoid at close and mid range, and his Power Fusions are deadly at close quarters. He has what it takes to stay on top of you pretty much whenever he wants (not taking items into account).

A solid trap and Ayame is a good as done…she remains mid tier in ps2 but I wouldnt say no where near tops
Question for anyone with PSC on PSN. I think you can play PSP games on the PS3 now. If you have DL’d this version and have played it through your PS3, do you know if you can play 4 players all on the same PS3?
