EX Hands needs at least two threads, one for on block explaining how you are totally safe since it’s +0 and one for on hit, saying how you can combo into U1 in the corner.
And maybe another thread for Focus Cancel AND another for RFC, explaining at what moment you can cancel it and hit the opponent, it’s a recurrent question around here… LOL
Alright, I had too tough of a time thumbing the cr mk hands so I mapped an extra mk to the LT button. Bam, natural piano motion ending with a mp plink for light hands. I think I can work with this setup.
This bothered me for a while. I thought you were meant to slide your whole hand (Close to Marvel Mashing) and my hand felt out of place. Instead I’ve been using my index finger for both MK and LP and litterally pivoting my finger so it slides over the punch buttons .
Doesn’t move my hand at all and fingers end up in the original place.
To be fair though it’s just a case of practice with whatever method you’re using and you’ll get used to it eventually.
Seriously? How many times do people need to explain this? Why am I even replying? Have you read anything in this thread?
(Edit - Upon post I realised both of these were the same person. Not targetting you, didn’t even realise both were you until posted)
I don’t think it’s that big of an issue. It’s a tenth of a second motion that you really don’t need more than wrist rotation to accomplish. If you can move between ten key and keyboard without looking at your hands, you should be able to slide and return to ‘home row’ without a problem.
i dont know why people think cr.mk xx jab hands is hard. i did it on my first try in training mode.
heres what i piano. cr.mk mp hp mp hp lp.
explanation, thumb on cr.mk index finger on mp, middle on hp. alternate and then hit lp with your index finger. i get it nearly every time… guess ill pick up this character since apparently kbrad cant do it. LOL
I have basketball palming hands so for me, thumbing mk. in its native location wasn’t a long term feasible option, so I placed another one on the LT. Some people have smaller hands/fingers and it’s no problem. Different strokes I guess.
Explanation: One problem I had with plinking is that I’d occasionally mess up and accidentally hit one button on the same frame as the plinked button. Doing it as described above means you’d have to screw up 2 out of 3 times in order for hands not to come out.
Also, just pointing it out: plinking a punch into a kick counts as two punch inputs. So plinking your final punch input into any kick button can’t hurt.
And if you don’t have charge stored, focus through it for easy punish.
The more I play this matchup, the more I think Decapre goes even with Yun, if not win against him
i wasnt a big fan of mk on 3P button
the thing i hate is i am so used to using my middle finger to hit mk and having to work my hand around that. i want to have it so its always ready at any instance. my favorite movement option is mk scramble lk whiff to get in range for a cr mk xx dagger. sometimes i perform it really fast and miss the mk entirely and just sit there whiffing jabs. when you mess up something like that your whole game plan gets thrown off, puts you in the worst spacing and basically loses that round for you.
the other stupid problem is red focus. all your methods are great and work, its not that it is difficult its just a matter of performing it with 100% accuracy in the heat of battle working around all these issues
If your problem is activating Focus/RedFocus there is only one answer. Practice. Doesn’t matter which method you use, practice is the only way to improve your accuracy.
I’ll be honest - When I’m in a hype match or I’m getting salty I mess up my hands a lot more. That’s more of a personal issue since I don’t have that problem when I’m relaxed while playing.
