There’s no way to change this, but if you have a guest account and one of them uses camo, then the sound gets distorted for everybody on that TV. Killing vehicles with frag grenades was damn near impossible in Halo3 and I can understand making them more powerful so it’s easier. But right now, it’s too explosive.
So it’s pointless to shoot at their heads unless their armor’s gone?
God what an awful game. Nades and melee are so much better than most of the trash weapons there’s no reason to use guns except after landing a random nade or beating someone down twice. Glad I got into the beta so I don’t have to waste my money on the full game when it drops (if it’s at all like this).
Also, come on people, fucking vote. Stockpile is wack after the 10th time.
There should be what looks like a Microsoft login icon “sign in”, or try going to community then to halo reach, sign up to the forums, this will also create a awesome career stats where you can see all your halo game statistics associated with your gamertag.
SWAT is 100 times better with the DMR than with BRs, no more lucky sprays :bgrin:
They need to adjust the damage on the weapons. AR should take half a clip at close range as opposed to the whole clip to take someone’s shield down. Grenades are crazy; I got shot one time and then a grenade popped by me and I died. They need to do something about armor lock just cause it’s dumb and adheres to people who die a lot. Practically COD juggernaut without the downside. I played against a team where all of them used it and it was irritating having to wait so long to get the kill.
I’m no longer that hyped for the game but will most likely still get it and can be patient till the fall release.
I’m not actually mad, just really disappointed. I was a huge fan of Halo 2 and was hoping this’d be the return of that kinda feeling in a Halo game. So wroooong.
I don’t think any game will ever be as good as Halo2 for me. To me it was just a perfect mix of friends, game play, and even glitches that held it all together. Now it seems that most newer games want to accommodate the lower levels by giving them something which is understandable since it gives the company more cash if more people play.
True. I probably had the most fun playing an fps ever with Halo 2, and I’ll always miss it. Guns in this beta just need to be stronger so people don’t rely on lobbing 2 nades, or just mashing melee when close. Also, that needle rifle does no damage at all
Well, I’ve always loved Halo and last night I played Reach for a few hours. Not really liking it…which sucks because I want to like it.
Maybe I need to get leveled up some more/unlock the cooler stuff because out of the box the weapons seemed so weak and the melee seemed very toned down which sucks ass.
Now I’m coming off of MW2 crack so it took a while to adjust but yeah…
maybe not. I read earlier today (can’t remember where I found the site) but apparently Microsoft will soon make this beta available to Silver membership as well.
Ok, I guess everyone has their own tastes, but I find Halo 2 to be the worst in the series, and I’m glad Reach is nothing like it. It feels like a mix between Halo CE and Halo 3 to me, which is great. I think the AAs add so much to the core Halo gameplay, that it’s hard to even go back. The new weapons are great, especially the DMR and both granade launchers. I’m not liking the Needler at all, and I miss the Laser, but the pistol is great. Headhunter and Stockpile are just damn awesome new modes, they will probably become real favorites once I get to play them in more maps. I thought I was going to miss Dual Wielding too, but I don’t at all.
So…when is Bungie going to add Spartans vs Elites? I only get to play as elites once in a blue moon when Covy slayer finally comes up(and people actually vote for it), and I can’t wait to use some damn vehicles.
This game is really shaping up to be the best in the series for me, especially when I think of what Bungie might have prepared as far as Forge and Firefight go.
