In order to do this, you need the rocket launcher and the sword…
Target an enemy from far away with the rocket launcher. The sight will turn red. When it turns red, switch to the sword and press fire right away. If you do it right, you’ll fly to wherever the opponent is, no matter how far away. If the opponent is a floor or three above you, you’ll fly up to the opponent!
Special thanks to BestEL CAPITAN (aka Master John Crespo) for showing this off to Phi and me…
You have to do it BEFORE the reticle appears on the screen. The timing is tricky, but it can be done. Just keep on trying. If you want to, flag down BestEL CAPITAN on Live and he’ll show you.
you cant do this glitch with zoom so sniper rifle wouldent make a difference. There is no guranteed method in doing this, its pretty random the best way i figured it out is just to keep hitting switch and fire over and over again till you get it.Also if there is anything the way you will miss but still get right in there face, but if they jump you can cancel the run with a jump so its like your already in the air and your getting a second leap for free
ive got a couple of glitches of my own but i want to keep them a secret as long as i can, cause there are some that are used all the time when i play =P
You can make the glitch a lot less complicated to do, but also much more impractical (as if having the sword and rockte launcher wasnt impractical enough). Try this one on Coagulation.
Step 1: Get sword
Step 2: Get in passenger seat of warthog
Step 3: Have someone on another team come next to your side of the warthog
Step 4: With the sword out, get the reticle over the enemy so it turns red and swing (make sure they’re standing a few steps back so they dont get hit). You should hear the sound the sword makes when you lunge, but you do not lunge becuase you’re in the warthog.
Step 5: Have the enemy you swung at run far, far away (A good place to do this is park the Warthog on the high hill behind either base and then have the enemy run to the other base and stand on its roof).
Step 6: Get out of warthog.
I haven’t really done it too many times like this, so i don’t know the limits, like if the person with the sword in the warthog has to be facing the direction he’s going. I would think yes, because otherwise he’d get stuck on the warthog. Also, once you’re flying, you can hit jump and you’ll start to ascend slowly, then when you get directly above the enemy, you stop and fall straight down.
But yeah, fun for a few times, but not very practical.
do this get duel pistols and fire 2 rounds off on the right pistol then throw your left pistol on the ground pick it back up and there you just got even more ammo!!
it sorrta works with SMG’s do the same thing like with the pistol’s but do it once with the SMG’s cause if you do it twice your ammo will start to go down!!********
Yeah these things is okay. Good way to sneek up on snipers. You guys do know that this can be done with any weapon right, not just the rocket lanucher. The battle rifle works very well also.
Heres another something for yalls. If you pull the glitch with the launcher/sword, during the flight if you switch back to launcher and fire, and will autmatically track to the person. (just like a lock on to a vehicle)
I’m speechless. This just adds more to the reasons why I don’t like xbox/halo/halo2/etc
Obviously this would be banned from tourney play, wouldn’t it? It seems to be a “cheat” like you say…moreso a bug or an exploit that will never be fixed…loller.
Woah, slow down B. I think that I can speak for everyone else that plays this game when I say that this glitch is not practical by any means.
First off, how often would one land up with both the rocket launcher AND the sword? Whenever you start up an online game, those two weapons are the ones that are rushed to first, and they’re usually on opposite sides of a map (I think Zanzibar may be the only exception to the rule). Second, if you were able to grab both of these weapons, how well could one do this glitch in a pinch? Whoever said this was “similar to roll cancelling” was right on the money.
I’m not trying to pad down something that is game-breaking, but I highly doubt you’re going to see matches where one person grabs these two weapons and goes the full win streak.
