sure thing, im not the best hakan by any stretch of my imagination but i try to regularly play with people better then me.
i dont have a mic but im always down to help out another player and give you some tips if im in a postion to do so.
I’m sure you can find someone to pop in your replay channel, save those good fights and upload them. I’d be glad to help myself, but I’m afraid it might be hard to catch each other as we live on different continents.

Sorry to bother but would it be at all possible for the OP to be reorganized so we can see more recent stuff ? 
Also, I have a hard time beating an adon that just sits and crouch guards. Are there any vids of hakan breaking that kind of defense i.e. an inherently fast character that refuses to attack but rather sit and wait in crouch.

dunno why both of yall keep using lp spd if ur not gonna oil up after…might as well use hp spd as that can lead to ddt setups and other shakanigans
Dash Cancel Crouching HP (WIFF OR HIT unsave on block so space it right) and then SPD let the ppl think twice about this strategy works althou well with f+MP and f+HK but the space is much better with c.HP
It’s a hard habit to break from when I played Gief many moons ago. I have no reason.

but as of late i have been playing ALOT more comfortable with hakan, and i feel like he is a mid tier to me, as i dont really have OMGWTFBBQ moments vs anyone, other than maybe…bison

I’ve been in a bit of a Hakan rut lately. I think I’ve been concentrating too much on trying to get oiled so I can DNC rather than staying true to Hakan fundamentals. It’s been losing me a lot of matches because I’m focusing more on a mechanic than the game.
If I could make any suggestion to you is to go for longer durations of oil after forward throw or LP rocket. you can at least get an MK out safely.

Yea Longshot, very nice. Sadly all the Ibukis I play repeat nonstop jump in chains though. Also you seemed to land a couple rockets unoiled which to me would probably miss.
Same thing happened to me when I started DNCing which then led to quite a bit of punishment due to careless oil ups. Probably one the reasons why I was reluctant to use anything other than short oil up in most situations as you can see. Definitely going to focus more on using Hakan’s other oil ups including EX oil in the ideal situations of course.
@ sonsu: Getting down those block strings is absolutely vital to Hakan’s game. It can do wonders for mixups and mind games plus it gives you the necessary tools to deal with rush down when unoiled. I mean standing jab X 3 + fwd standing jab does as much damage as a jab oil rocket. Standing strong + standing jab + standing strong actually does more damage than a fierce oil rocket. You nail your opponent with a couple of these and they’ll think twice before trying to take advantage of an unoiled Hakan thinking that he’s free.
@ Gravehunter: Sorry man, 360 only. I may pick up a PS3 down the road if it fits in with my budget.
@ The Glow: The Ibuki vortex and rush down in general is very difficult to deal with for sure. Which is why the links that I mentioned above, including counter hit links such as standing strong into fwd + standing fwd are so important to get down consistently. Hakan’s overall damage output along with his ability to control the A to A game can really make it difficult for Ibuki to generate much in the way of offense. Yeah I rarely tick into unoiled rockets due to its wonky start up and range. I figured after a couple of block strings he would be more on the defensive, I guessed right 
Sometimes it just comes down to reading your opponent. BTW once air dominance has been established with moves such as Hakan’s air grab, I’ve managed to have a bit of success with jump in whiffed air grab into empty jump in EX/oiled up rocket. Hakan can really mind**** opponents which is probably why I find him so much fun to play.
