Holy shit i woke up and found that the theory crafting has TRUELY BEGUN i’m loving it. Adding on to what Hiryu02 has said i think Hakan’s s.HP looks like its going to be our main poke that shit has some range on it and its fast.
Also i confirmed 2 nights ago when talking to Mr.Wizard that Hakan’s slide while oiled up will go under all projectiles except for Juri’s low FB because its so low to the ground, Even coward crouch wont work.
Also its possible while oiled up to be able to Oil Rocket (i’m assuming the light version), dash forward, and Ultra 2. No FADC needed, also you can’t FADC a command grab. Lol and i just noticed on the japanese site that his birthday is one day before mine so it give me even more reason to play him LOL
That low jump arc is gonna be sick. Hop over Hados and easily land in time to 720 ultra.
I’ve heard he has command normals for all his normals. . .and that he only has them for standing normals. . .any confirmation on either? I haven’t really seen this come up in any vid with him. . .but damn 36 normals if true. . .

Re: mk/hk(?) I’m not particularly sure it’s just frame advantage, beating a sweep is one thing, but completely stuffing that special? It seems to have some weird hitbox or something if not straight invincibility. Of course, this move isn’t thrown out very often in the videos, so I only have those 2 anecdotes.
Re: shoulder ram, I believe that it’s a separate command normal. His FA lands a shoulder block at chest height. That low ram hits at knee height. The FA animation has his hands held to his chest, the shoulder ram has his hands down, almost to the ground. He has a ton of command normals anyway. In the vs Juri video, he even had a mid-level shoulder block that went completely under a high kick from Juri, switching sides. Re-watch some of the vids and you’ll see what I mean.

Can Hakan cancel that fake run thing into his slide or is it air grab only?
Couple things.
Like I’ve mentioned before, Hakan can move around while charging up his focus attack, as long as he’s oiled up. He can move back and forth at will and the range is quite good.
I don’t believe you can cancel out of his coward crouch, unlike Blanka. So it’s only good as an avoidance move.
Last thing, Hakan can sorta combo into his Ultra 2. Jumping MK as an air-to-air knocks the opponent down towards the ground (while still in a juggle state), but Hakan gets there first, so he can activate ultra. He can also combo the slide move or a normal if you don’t have ultra.
That j.MK sounds very sexy, Oil Combination Hold shouldn’t be too hard to land but with an extra catch or two that’s even tastier, yum yum yum! :tup:
I am very excited about his taunts. I am expecting them to be very stupid and awesome. Any of the vids have a hakan taunt in it.

I really don’t think that’s a level 1 focus. Hakan does the same thing in the vs. Juri video. In fact, he does a focus attack first, followed by that low fierce? or whatever the hell it is. Those are different attacks. The difference can be seen at around 0:30 in this video-

The focus attack has Hakan charge up with his arms tucked in under his body, while that normal has Hakan charge in with his hands down at his sides. They are different.
Is that in the most recent build? I’ve heard a lot of things about Hakan in previous builds which I do not know are true or not, that didn’t make it into the current build in which we’ve seen him in. Jumping forward sounds so awesome the way you describe it.

Wow, I never noticed… I always thought that it was a forward dash. And then I looked for his forward dash and it looks nothing like that. Good catch! Juri wasn’t that high up in the air anyway.
hmm I never noticed that was an actual attack. I thought is was his forward dash too. looks tricky
his oil slide follow up splash also activates on counter hit in non oiled up state
