It’s not necessarily that fo course we know he ain’t, it’s just the typical american reaction to what we’ve seen in the trailers. People are very critical and serious minded about what they see, kind of like when you first see a movie trailer and say “dang, this movie is gonna suck.” Then it comes out and it’s an Oscar winner…or not, we don’t know yet but people are trying to pretend they do.
look how people dogged on El Fuerte or Rufus, they said he was a wasted character slot now he’s top tier, Elf is probably one step away from that if his normals are faster, I haven’t checked his tier rankings latley. Hakan could be a good character and/or bad, but I just don’t think he’s being judged by his effectivness and more for his looks and playstyle, we humans are visual creatures, until we actually get Hakan in our hands, we are gonna keep hearing how “gay” he is. Only a few people here actually played him, I havent found anyone who’s played him and said “he sucks.”

The alt is a Japanese Festival outfit it seems. Rope headband and the open gi he is wearing confirms it.
Personally I think I’m sticking with his regular outfit. Gold chains, lion belt buckle and leather bandolier is top tier. Also, his “sprite” doesn’t mirror when he faces left or right, which is a great touch.

its a character who has a completely unique style albeit some stolen normals and stances and FA, it is still an unique character who will spruce up the otherwise boring tournys where you see Ryu, Sagat, and Rufus
now we just might see Cody, Makoto, Ibuki, Dudley, Hakan, Juri at most tournys…what a variety!
Nice to wake up to Hakan’s alt. I like it, but I’ll have a hard time choosing it over his standard costume. LOL @ Haters. Here’s here to stay, quit crying.
I didn’t want to search the whole 45 some odd pages for this, were the things on his head ever explained? What is that thing, a shower cap? Plastic hair?
He has a blue mustache, so I think Capcom is passing that blue stuff off as hair. Maybe it’s a side effect of turkish oil. Or maybe he’s just whacky. Probably the latter.
