The more I see of Hakan, the more he seems similar to Honda. Long arms with short legs. Which is a good thing for me since I play Honda. His s.:hp: and s.:hk: look a lot like Honda’s and his j.:hp: looks like a stronger version of Honda’s j.:mp:. He probably does less damage over all, but will have more options. I know Hakan is going to be a blast to play, 27.4.10 cannot come soon enough.
I don’t see why people hate on Hakan. Apparently, people don’t like to read, since if you read the shit about him on EventHubs, you’d know that he’s going to be the shit.
I personally love Hakan, if Dudley wasn’t my absolute favourite Street Fighter character in history i’d main the living hell out of Hakan. He can oil me up anytime!

I think people are butthurt over the fact another fan favorite could have been brought back.
His EX slide goes under all fireballs (except Juri’s low shot) normal slide does go though fireballs also but wasn’t 100% on all projectiles from what was tested so far.
While oiled his front and back dashes are insanely fast. Might have a normal move when air to air it can knockdown. You can Kara his grabs, more ranged when oiled. I tried to ask if Oil Rocket>FADC>U2 works but no one answered me on the stream :sad:. Very technical from what was seen so far. Alot of management is need to play Hakan efficently
Eh… i do you mean he can kara his normal grabs? If you mean the command grabs, I highly doubt it. The forward movement on his Oil Rocket is a part of the grab itself.
no his command grab is kara-able from what was said over the stream. Kinda like giefs EX hand to SPD. I think they said it will work with his slide
^- this is all coming from the Wakeup, Shoryuken podcast thingy on right now. They say it’s potentially POSSIBLE you can kara his grabs, but what they said for certain is that his Oil Rocket has great range when oiled. Nothing was definitely said about him having kara Oil Rocket.
And if oiled normal slide goes under Yoga Fire like Amazon River Run, couldn’t it also go under Hadouken?
did they say what it was kara-able from? I’m thinking that they mean that you can alter the range he dashes by the strength of punch used for the Oil Cannon, or that it is alterable by oiling up, which doesn’t mean it’s kara-able…
a kara grab would be like ken’s kara grab, where you hit towards-forward the moment before you hit jab+short…
They said that they range is so long it looks like a kara.
Also you might be able to move forward in focus in oil up. Maybe.

They said more like it LOOKS like a kara because of the forward movement/insane range before the grab effect (which is awesome), but they implied that because his oil command normals move him forward, he COULD have kara Oil Rocket.
Why do people say we don’t know the properties or that slide doesn’t go under stuff? Look at the first video that popped up. Hakan vs Dhalsim. OILED SLIDE GOES UNDER THAT CRAP.
