Mr. Wizard:

Hakan - Seems weak at first. Looks like hellboy red and is kinda fat. Has spiky hair. Has a 360 move where he puts you in his arms and sqeezes you out with oil slicked body. you fly across the screen at a 45 degree angle. He can slide along the ground face first and hit punch during for a followup (only when oiled up). Has an air grab where he belly flops. DP+K puts on more oil.
He takes out both hands and dumps oil on himself and it looks funny. He then glows white. When he has oil, he is 200% better. putting oil on takes half a second, and its duration based. EX oil lasts a long time. In non-oil mode, he is like gief. When he is in Oil Mode, he can chain everything, like c.lk x4 into mp. Moves in oil mode have more range, including 360. Front and backdash are better in oil mode too. All of his pokes have neutral and toward versions. Has a ‘trap’ ultra, where he lays down, and if you step on him, he grabs you. You cannot touch him at all, even if not attacking. You slip on his stomach like its ice. Then he 69s you as you slide along the ground and you fly out his buttocks.

The 2nd ultra is comedy as well. 720 motion, throws you up in the air and you board the OIL COASTER. You ride him going around his body till you are ejected into a wall at the end.

His super is double fireball with kick. Its a leaping grab thats crouchable, like Alex DDT he leaps at you.

Lol, I predict people are going to rush the shit out of Hakan from the beginning of the match. Hakan’s going to have a hard time to get that oil on…

From the Dhalsim video, the first time Hakan player activates oil it lasts around 12-14 seconds, the second time he activates it (and gets clocked while starting up the oil) it lasts for roughly 8 seconds.

EX Oil Up will probably be super fast or might have invincibility around it to help him out.

I thought that at first, too. But check out the match against Sim. Sim knocks him out of the oiling up animation… but once he’s out of the hit animation, he’s oiled up anyway. Looks like that strategy might not work so well.

EDIT: Well, it’ll still work in the sense that if you’re oiling up and you’re right in front of them, they’ll probably punish you… but if you score an untechable knockdown, just oil up and get right back in their face with that 360 or slide or what-have-you.

I wonder if there’s any point to doing a short or forward Oil Shower? Unless it’s a faster activation, I don’t see anyone using those versions.

Yeah, I noticed that about Hakan getting knocked out of his oil animation…

Thing is, with most other characters, like Ryu and Ken, even if you do get to oil up while they’re rushing you down, you won’t even get a chance to use it since they’ll still be rushing your ass down out of your wake-up.

I agree with you about activating it after an untechable, though. Knowing when to oil up will be the same as knowing when to build Honda’s meter by whiffing Oicho throws.

**ALSO…

Did anyone notice that at 0:55 in the Dhalsim video it seems as if Hakan is about to land on a fireball, but performs and air normal (jumping short) which alters his hitbox and causes the fireball to whiff?**

Best bet could be they have less animation time, but don’t last as long? I’m so hype. I keep watching the same vids and reading the same shit about Hakan. Riding that hype train first class.

Whoa, at 2:12 Hakan did Oil Combination Hold right NEXT to Ibuki, and it connected. I’m wondering if there’s anyway to escape that setup? If not, then OCH can be used both as a grab and as an anti-air???

2:42 at the end of the video: what is that? Jumping fierce?! It looks very similar to Honda’s nj.fierce, except Hakan is doing it while jumping forward! Awesome…

Man, in that vs. Ibuki match, you really see how good Oil Combination Hold is. Anytime they touch him during that animation, they get shit out. People can’t whiff big air moves against him OR try any empty jump shit either. Might use OCH just for the deterrent factor.

That was a level 1 ultra at the end of round one x_x Ibuki did have lower health in 3S, guessing it’s the same here…Round 2 oil coaster hardly dealt damage with focus attack
3:05 so he can still do the slide attack without oil, just doesn’t follow up with body splash

What looks to be a j. RH at 2:38 and j. Fierce at 2:48. Looks like good stuff. Except that it’s probably bad for him to be jumping around randomly.
