^ that’s probably the most well-documented haggar reset, since vanilla, even…
Here’s a backdrop off of beacon bomb thing I’ve been working on, I have to try switching up between Beacon Bomb H and L, and then resetting with tiger knee HCB+H or DP+M off of a Beacon Bomb L:
so the best reset technology that i found that works anywhere is do ground combo into air combo, leg drop + assist, pipe into hoodlum, air combo, leg drop + assist, pipe into hoodlum **dont **jump cancel and use a half a second delayed hoodlum heavy, it may turn you around, but will give you an ensured reset unless they fly or teleport, but they will not look out for it the first time. it also works with launcher, but in my case i am used to hoodlum launching so happy resets everyone!
EDIT: so the way that you can stop this from happening is if your opponent teleports, ziplines, air dashes, or mashes out an hyper. however if they teleport, zipline, airdash down you will still grab them
EDIT+: if you are in the corner and manage to get a hit out then use the hoodlum launcher light and delay the hoodlum launcher heavy to switch sides, trading places. if you want to stay on the side that you want use raw launcher instead.
it gets even more effective with the dormamu pillar assist, if and only if you hit them with the pipe because they air recover at a place where it is impossible to get out of it. the timing is a little easier because it is right after the pipe is done do hoodlum heavy
EDIT: so after doing some more lab stuff i found out that the hoodlum launcher has the interesting properties of taking away your opponents air recovery which makes it possible to make this reset work, but the whole dormamu purification does still work. you can still do this reset because it has huge damage potential.
reEDIT: This works when you set the computer to do the air recovery, but if there is a player, just pressing forward then the air recovery still works
EDIT+: doing more lab work something that works far more effectively is doctor strange’s lock down assist, eye of agamatto, soon as you opponent recovers from the of the juggle from the drop kick may it be front or back it is still in reach of haggar’s hoodlum launcher heavy for the reset. hopefully i can make a video about it soon.
