dear kineda.
i have a suggestion for this tournament because i have been hearing a lot of reports about people getting sick. you guys should probably give disease-prevention requirements and even just reminders to regularly wash their hands as they play throughout the day. It is probably pretty safe to say that indirect and direct hand contact (through sharing arcade sticks and shaking hands and just being close to each other) is one of the strongest contributing factors to people getting sick at tournaments.
i am not trying to be a condescending asshole and say you fighting game players are a bunch of grungy ass people, but i think that everybody, including myself, is susceptible to falling below a good hand-hygienic level since our minds can get so entrenched in AE and Mahvel (believe me it happens). Even if i was saying fighting game players are grungy ass people and im offending you because you think you keep your hands perfectly clean, suggesting people to clean their hands is going to help you anyways since even if you are disease-free, other people may not be.
Washing your hands is also just such an easy cheap and fast method of preventing disease.
I know of at least a dozen peeps planning on coming for KOF, I’ll convince them to pre-reg. Also heard a top SoCal player is making an appearance (Reynald).
