the hacked version is still very identical to the original and passes all standard checks(and its xgd2 game). they’d have to see real hard proof(videos) of someone using dlc characters. annd ms dont ban people now for playing bootlegs online. not unless you are cheating or something and people report your ass then maybe.

Of course they are. We will have new ones on April, 3rd. Blue, Green, Orange and Grey, plus different shades, apparentely. We should wait for the other 44 or so… Have no sense, I know.
Xbox live bans are always in waves and usually towards the end of the year (nov/dec). I’m cool with people doing that and I’d do the same, they’re complete on disc and this way we can get a heads up in the matchups.

Only thing I’m interested in is how Capcom respond to this new development, after all, it kind of hard to ignore people apprently can take these character online right now. That Sony contract, if they really do have one, really has be screwing them over now, unless they can get out of it somehow…which I doubt.

Other than understanding how stupid it was to release Street Fighter x Tekken and Super Street Fighter x Tekken on the same disc, and then try to sell them individually within a year of each other, I don’t expect them to do anything. This is just a big fucking mess, and all Capcom can do is try to make as much profit as they can off the DLC; I wouldn’t expect them to try to ‘make this right,’ if that is what people are hoping for.

No I have not fought any HDLC (H meaning hacked). at least not yet. As far as Capcom releasing characters early it’s just the best suggestion out there for them, due to the fact that many hackers has friends or can put out how these characters can be downloaded to the console. Also if Capcom wants the funds it’s only right to release by the summer at least I think that’s good enough for them to fix up whatever changes or add in’s they need to make toward the characters. But the other thing you gotta look at too is that it was Capcom’s biggest mistake was putting out all this info about the DLC’s, and giving the Vita priority with some of the new characters that we can’t play as of yet. But I just think that more over people are just getting fed up with paying dollars after dollars for DLC’s cause they feel they should be in the game anyways, so some feel they could get it themselves by hacking and its crazy how some fans of the game really want to play characters like Elena, Guy and Lars because they felt they should been apart of the game** anyways,** especially Elena due to the fact that speculations had it that she should of been in SF 4 AE. Also I think fans feel if Capcom wanted to add more characters just go ahead and come out with a new version of SF X Tekken maybe next year or early 2014 which makes since to me if they want to make a better upgrade of the game. I just think that they don’t want to make the mistake Blaz Blue made with the DLC and game releases this year which really turned off some of there fans.

Don’t get mad at the hackers for taking them online and “showing off.” Blame Capcom for the 6 month wait to release playable on-disc characters and for their poor execution in locking these characters away.

I don’t think they should have done that. Releasing a NEW version of the game down the road is an old problem on its own that capcom has. Dead Rising 2…MvC3…SF4…just sayin. What they should have done is make the core game great with less bugs than it had on launch. Then we would have bought it. In turn they could use some of that money to develop the new characters. Because that way they would truly be DLC (DownLoadableContent) Instead of DLC (DiscLockedContent). This way Capcom makes money. Capcom’s reputation gets repaired some. The FGC isn’t annoyed. Basically wins all over the board and everyone is happy. Instead what happened is a giant clusterfuck of…I don’t even know what the hell to call this situation that Capcom is in. Also yes i know that I’m preaching to the choir on this.
Hugo bodies everyone but at the end of the day that guy still has 14 more characters 6 months before everyone else.
